The Santa Maria Racing Pigeon Club is a group of flyers from San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. We are registered with the American Racing Pigeon Union. If you are new to the sport of pigeon racing, a long time veteran, or just curious about homing pigeons we'd love to meet you. We have several meetings throughout the year as well as participate in several races. You don't have to be interested in racing to be a member as many fanciers enjoy flying their birds as a hobby to enjoy with their family.
Please be sure to explore our resource page for links and information to help you get started. You can also contact our club secretary if you'd like more information about joining the Santa Maria RPC. Racing homing pigeons is a wonderful pastime that has been enjoyed for generations. It's a rewarding adventure that we hope to share with you. Thank you for stopping by and we hope to see you soon!
The ARPU, first established in 1909, is dedicated to helping to preserve the great sport of pigeon racing through education, club management, and event organization. With over 700 affiliated clubs around the country the ARPU is a great resource no matter what level you choose to participate. They would love to provide you with some basic information on Homing Pigeons.
Through the ARPU website you can find information on memberships, finding a club, sanctioned shows and more. They also have a great youth program to help educate the next generation of racers.
