The department of Sanskrit is one of the oldest departments of Dibru College. It was started during the establishment of the College i.e. in 1963. Initially the department offered only pass course but in 2005 it introduced major course. The permission for opening Major course in Sanskrit was granted on 21.10.2005.

Organized a workshop on Spoken Sanskrit in collaboration with Lokabhasa Pracar Samiti, Assam on 11th April, 2018.

Organized series of online classes for the students of six colleges of upper Assam. The classes were taken by the visiting professors.
