"Jo sumirat siddhi hoi, gan nayak, bar badan."
"Just by remembering Hanuman Ji, all difficulties go away, and success is achieved."
This is reflected in the Hanuman Chalisa, where it is said:
"Sankat se Hanuman chudave, Man Karam Vachan dyan jo lave"
Hanuman relieves one from all crises when remembered through mind, words, and actions.
According to Hindu cosmology, time is divided into four Yugas (ages): Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kaliyuga.
Kaliyuga is the current age, characterized by:
Increased difficulties
Decline in dharma (righteousness)
Rise of ignorance, ego, and unrighteousness
Because this age is tough and full of troubles (sankat), people seek divine help to overcome their problems.
Hanuman is considered the remover of all troubles (Sankat Mochan).
Since Kaliyuga is full of problems, he naturally becomes the one who protects people and helps them navigate this chaotic era.
His qualities of strength, devotion, courage, and humility are exactly what people need in Kaliyuga to survive and thrive.
Hanuman Ji is sometimes called “Kaliyug ke Raja” because:
He holds supreme power to destroy evil forces prevalent in Kaliyuga.
He embodies the ideal virtues that humanity needs most in this era.
Devotees believe his blessings are most accessible and effective in this age.
In a way, he is the ruler over the hearts of devotees and protector of dharma in Kaliyuga.
Kaliyuga is said to be the age where true spiritual knowledge and complex rituals are difficult.
Instead, simple but sincere devotion (bhakti) is the path to salvation.
Hanuman represents pure, selfless devotion, making him the ideal deity for Kaliyuga worship.
Many saints and scriptures emphasize Hanuman’s power in Kaliyuga.
The Hanuman Chalisa (a 40-verse hymn) is widely recited to overcome troubles in Kaliyuga.
Various modern and traditional saints (like Tulsidas, the author of Hanuman Chalisa) highlight Hanuman’s unparalleled importance in this era.
