Interviews for the year 2022-23

We successfully completed final round of brainstorming and interviews for recruiting new team members for the academic session 2022-2023. 

Special Assembly on Earth Day

We organized a Special Assembly highlighting the importance of thinking about future before acting in the present time. Team members shared a thought, recited a self-composed poem, performed a dance spreading the message of preserving natural resources and performed a street play emphasizing the need for sustainable future. 

Workshop for Teachers

To embed any activity in our regular timetable, support of teachers plays an important role. In order to foster sculpting skills in our mentors, we trained them during a workshop at school. This will surely help our team to complete the production and designing of #terracotta products easily during their regular classes. 

Induction Ceremony

Dr. B C Sabata, Environmentalist was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. The student entrepreneurs of Sanjeevani were presented gold level certificates, received from Teach A Man To Fish for their extraordinary contribution to the enterprise in the year 2021. After this all the team members pledged to remain committed to their enterprise and to work zealously for the community and environment. 

World Environment Day celebration

On the World Environment Day team Sanjeevani Embracing Life got involved in activities to nurture nature. We planted saplings of indigenous trees in our school campus. Also, ecopreneurs felt extreme joy and satisfaction putting up birdhouses on trees in order to provide shelter to our chirping birds. We all pledged to continue our actions towards nature conservation.

Van Mahotsav Sapling Distribution

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life organized free sapling distribution drive to generate awareness amongst our community members regarding importance of Greens on Earth. The ecopreneurs urged the community members to plant more trees and take good care of them. 

Birdhouse Making Activity

We organised bird house making activity for students of classes 7 and 8 of our school. This initiative assures the awareness amongst children for protection of chirping birds which form an intricate part of our ecosystem. 

"Voice of Speechless Greens" Activity

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life organised an activity for classes 5,6,11 and 12 on the occasion of Vanmahotsava in which students wrote messages on leaves to humans urging them to protect the trees from deforestation as these greens are the lifelines for existence of life on EARTH. All the leaves are displayed on a tree placed at school reception. 

Cloth bag Designing Activity

We organised cloth bag designing activity for students of classes 9 and 10. They made beautiful designs on cloth bags as a gesture urging community members to discontinue use of deadly plastics. 

Plantation Drive

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life culminated the Vanmahotsava celebrations with sapling plantation drive. Saplings of indigenous trees like Neolamarckia cadamba (Kadamb), guava, mango, lemon are planted to increase biodiversity and give shelter and food to animals and birds. 

Special Assembly on Van Mahotsav

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life organized a special assembly on Vanmahotsava to spread awareness about the need of planting trees for a greener planet. A skit showcasing the importance of trees for sustenance of life on Earth was the highlight of the programme. An enthralling dance performance on ‘Save Trees’ was appreciated by all.

Independence Day Celebration

We celebrated 75 years of Independence in a unique, green way. To mark the platinum jubilee of our freedom, team Sanjeevani planted 75 saplings in school campus in association with Kalinga Bharti foundation,  SBI , and Bhoomi foundation. About 40 volunteers from these organizations participated in the plantation drive.  Eco warriors of Team Sanjeevani planted fruit trees, herbs and shrubs to enhance biodiversity in and around school campus.

Ganesh Chaturthi Special Kiosk

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life put up Ganesh Chaturthi Special kiosk at school reception for our parent and teacher community. DIY kits prepared by the students to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an environment friendly way were displayed for sale

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

The nine day long Ganesh Mahotsav celebrated with great fervor concluded on  September 9, 2022 with the immersion of Eco friendly idol of Lord Ganesha  on the school campus amidst fanfare and devoutness. Ganpati idol containing seeds of leafy vegetables auspiciously installed on 31 August 2022  was taken for immersion in a grand procession. Mr. Christophe Walder, Digital Products Manager, Teach A Man to Fish along with School Principal, teachers and the ecopreneurs of our team participated in the event.

Celebration Event

We organised Celebration Event and welcomed Mr. Christophe  Walder, Digital Products Manager, Teach A Man to Fish, a UK based charity organization. The extravagant event witnessed buoyant exchange of entrepreneurial ideas and strategies among the students. A market place to showcase the products and business ideas and a workshop area to display the ways of designing eco friendly alternatives, put up by Team Sanjeevani, garnered a lot of interests among the visitors. Junior enterprise of the school 'Earthlink' displayed products highlighting 'Waste to Wealth' which was liked by all. 

Kiosk at Dussehra Mela, Sector - 10

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life put up a kiosk at Dussehra Ground , Sector- 10, Dwarka during evening hours on 29th September, 2022. A wide range of products like bird houses, planters, terracotta jewellery, jute bags, special festive season products were displayed for sale. 

Kiosk at Pacific Mall

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life put up kiosk at Pacific Mall Dwarka. We showcased our bespoke sustainable products. People turned up in huge numbers to purchase our special products. The festive vibes of dandiya and support of our customers really motivated our team of ecopreneurs to work more in order to achieve sustainability. 

Special Assembly on Diwali

We organised a Special Assembly on the theme 'Festivity with Sustainability' on the occasion of Diwali. Marking the celebration as the victory of good over evil and a day of service and generosity, a number of cultural events like dance, skit, song by school choir and poem recitation were presented. An electrifying performance by the participants of the skit very explicitly conveyed the message to celebrate the festival not with crackers, but with lights and compassion for others. 

Participation in Nature Walk

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life participated in a Nature Walk led by Ms. Prachi Singh (Limca book of record holder) at Sundar Nagar Nursery, Nizamuddin, Humayun's Tomb, New Delhi. They explored the colorful butterflies. This walk was an initiative to create awareness and sensitize children towards butterfly conservation and their habitat protection. 

Mushroom Cultivation

Being ecopreneurs, team Sanjeevani Embracing Life decided to put a step forward and start an initiative to showcase a viable solution to curb air pollution in Delhi. We all are witnessing intensive smog in Delhi and neighboring states. The main cause of this severe air quality is stubble burning. But we all can join hands to turn this problem into a profitable opportunity. We are using crop waste to grow mushrooms. It is simple and does not require a huge set up. 

Visit to WWF India

In order to sensitize our team members about nature conservation, we organized a team visit to WWF India. Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life witnessed a unique and the first-ever raptor exhibition titled ‘Wings of Wonder’ to explore the mystical world of the owls, ospreys, eagles, vultures, falcons and other raptors of the world. The main objective of the visit is to reinforce that coexistence with nature is important to maintain balance in ecosystem. 

Participation in Annual Fest by Navdanya

Team Sanjeevani Embracing Life participated in the Annual Fest by Navdanya- BHOOMI 2022 at India International Center. The theme was: Sacred Earth, Sacred Plants, Sacred Food. A celebration of Shakti, the creative Power of Mother Earth, the Biodiversity of our Sacred Plants & Nourishment from our Sacred Food was the highlight of the programme which involved talks and discussions by environmentalists from across the globe. We also discussed various environmental issues with perspective of people from different levels of society ranging from Farmers to environmentalists during the exhibition. It was an enriching experience for the team members.

Visit to Apna Ghar Ashram

We visited ‘Apna Ghar Ashram’- A Home for the Homeless Females situated at Budhpur, Delhi. Students were given a brief working of the organization through a documentary. We joined them in prayer to the Almighty before lunch. The food was served to inmates by the students with love and affection. It was an emotional moment for students and they felt grateful for being given this opportunity to serve the society. Adult diapers, washing powder and rugs were also donated for the inmates of Ashram by the teams. 

Visit of lovely angels to our school

We invited girls from Udaan- Rose Children Home for Girls. Udaan Rose CHG caters to the shelter and welfare needs of girl children rescued from the streets and distressed situations. We have been associated with Udaan for past seven years. Like every year, this year too, we welcomed girls aged between 5 and 16 years from Udaan as an endeavor to bring smiles and cheer in their lives.

Session by WWF

We held a session for the students of our enterprise. Resource persons from the leading  Conservation Organization World Wildlife Fund (WWF) took up the session . They discussed the extent of harm we have caused to mother earth making our survival on Earth difficult in near future.

Launch of our website

A proud moment for team Sanjeevani - Embracing Life as we finally launched our maiden website after months of hard work and dedication. This initiative will surely enhance our customer outreach and will make our products accessible to community members.

Christmas Carnival

We organised a Christmas Carnival on 24 December 2022. Carnival had lots of innovative and fun filled games especially created by our entrepreneurs. It also had Christmas special selfie booth and food stall with muffins and fruit cakes. Season special, freshly harvested organic button mushrooms grown in school campus by team Sanjeevani were also available for sale. In addition to these, two of our ecopreneurs,  Aadya Jha and Radhika Mishra also set up a Cloth-Swapping Centre as a part of their initiative: Vastram - Style can be Sustainable.

Farewell to Senior Members

We bid farewell to our Business Presidents: Amitansh Kesharwani and Ankur Mukherjee as they complete their schooling and move ahead to achieve their dreams. Their almost four years association with the Business For Charity enterprise of our school has been truly remarkable. With their hardwork and teamspirit, our enterprise reached greater heights. We also would like to thank Aditi Verma, Sanskriti and Shray Dobhal for their contribution to the enterprise.

Cloth - Swapping Centre by Our Ecopreneurs

Two ecopreneurs Radhika Mishra and Aadya Jha of our team are worked on a campaign, Vastram- Style can Be Sustainable. Under this programme, the students organized a cloth collection drive. Our community members contributed by donating apparels which are in usable condition, properly washed and ironed. Then after segregation of donated clothes, these students put up a #clothswappingcentre at various places including school campus, apartments and nearby markets. These clothes were bought by people at rock-bottom price of ₹100/- to ₹200/-. This drive not only ensured the reduction of cloth waste but also instils a strong bond among communities.
