I am a Canada Research Chair in Data Science and Analytics and an Associate Professor in the School of Mathematics & Statistics at Carleton University. My research focuses on developing novel statistical methods for analyzing complex, high-dimensional biological data - particularly in the life sciences.
I specialize in:
• Modelling Microbiome and RNA-seq data
• Biclustering
• Multiomics analysis
I’m passionate about integrating rigorous statistical theory with real-world problems to generate meaningful insight. My research drives innovation in molecular biology, radiation biology, physics, and personalized healthcare-including nutrition and precision medicine. My research is supported by the Canada Research Chair Program, NSERC Discovery Grant, NFRF-E grant, NSERC Alliance grant, and NSERC-CSE Research Communities grant.
I welcome highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students who are excited to contribute to impactful, interdisciplinary research in a collaborative and well-supported environment.
