My research program seeks to define how the biophysical and biochemical organization of the cell surface regulates immune recognition, cell-cell communication, and therapeutic response across cancer and tissue contexts. My work focuses on the glycocalyx as a dynamic interface that controls immune access, synapse formation, and effector function, integrating quantitative imaging, glycobiology, and immunoengineering to uncover fundamental principles of immune regulation. Building on these principles, my lab aims to develop new strategies to manipulate cell-surface architectures and engineer next-generation cellular therapies.
