I participated in an online data visualization competition where I chose to tackle a health-related issue. My project centered on analyzing global malaria prevalence between 2010 and 2019, with a particular emphasis on the high rates in Africa. To do so, I evaluated metrics such as the usage of treated mosquito nets among children under 5, the population below the $2 poverty line, and the access to improved sanitation facilities.
In my month-long Virtual Case internship at PwC through Forage, I worked on a project to uncover insights from employee hiring, departures, and promotions. While investigating promotions based on performance, a notable pattern emerged: employees promoted twice within two years displayed notably low performance ratings, whereas departing employees had higher ratings. This prompts the intriguing question: "What could be the underlying cause?"
A colleague and I conducted a project comparing candidate preferences of Nigerian Twitter users online and offline. Our focus was on examining tweet content and hashtags to determine their support. By comparing 2014 tweets with the 2015 election outcomes, we identified recurring patterns in both years, as detailed in the presentation.
This project employs SQL for exploratory data analysis, utilizing US Regional Sales data from Kaggle—a fictional dataset depicting a company's sales across different US regions. As a Data Analyst, I’m naturally curious about a lot of things, and this analysis was sparked by one of those curiosities. This project was centered on what seasoning cube people preferred for their meal.
