Gas sensing using metal oxide semiconductor doped with rare earth elements: A review
Present
Neha Sharma is a Ph.D. student in physics at Amity University in Rajasthan. She holds a bachelor's degree in science and a master's degree in physics from Rajasthan University. She was an INSPIRE scholar and received support from the Department of Science and Technology, India, for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. She has cleared GATE in Physics. The research interest is in the field of nanomaterial synthesis, gas sensing, density functional theory (DFT) and impedance analysis. As a Ph.D. student, she is engaged in cutting-edge research to explore the gas sensing applications of metal oxide semi-conductors and computational work.
Isha Mani is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Physics Department at Amity University, Jaipur. She completed both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physics degrees with distinction from the University of Rajasthan. Her research interests lie in the synthesis of materials suitable for water splitting, specifically exploring the possibility of metal chalcogenide-based composites for this purpose.
Past
Pushpendra Singh Shekhawat earned his Bachelor’s in Physics Honours from Amity University Uttar Pradesh. He later pursued M.Sc. Physics (2020-22) from Amity University Rajasthan. His Master’s thesis focused on Density Functional Theory studies of metal oxides. He was also given the Best Strategic Thinking Award 2023 by the University. Post Master’s, he interned with the Department of Science and Technology where he oversaw nanotech research ongoing in Rajasthan, India. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he has dabbled with a startup and has filed for a patent. At present, he is a Research PhD fellow at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. His research focuses on Organic Electrochemical Transistors, specialising in “Antiambipolar behaviour of single material OECTs”. When not in his lab, Pushpendra likes to explore nature through his camera, and is keenly interested in sports like cricket and kabaddi.
