I personally think that the immense beauty of vast natural landscapes has been mesmerizing each one of us since the very caveman days. And I am not an exception. I still remember the summer vacation afternoons of late two thousand when I used to gobble up Tin Tin’s comics. The backdrops across the world that came alive with Harge's wonderful depiction left a deeper imprint in my mind than the plot points. Then came up the show of Man vs. Wild in 2006. Again, I went for a virtual exploration of world landscapes and natural environment with Mr. Bear Grylls. These childhood interests sparked an early affection in cartography and exploring diverse environments, which eventually started to percolate in my academic life too. My desire for formal training to create and interpret maps, comprehend magnificent landscapes and their formation processes, and understand climatic phenomena and their effects on local environments and human civilizations drove me to pursue formal training in Geography and started my journey as a Geographer.
