The following scholarships are available to DECA members according to proposed college major and/or geographic residence.  These scholarships are open to potential majors in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or Marketing Education. 

T Carl Brown Scholarship: Available to all DECA members interested in the above-listed college majors. 

Sonya Williams Dismuke Scholarship: Available to students statewide who complete the T Carl Brown Scholarship Application based upon the availability of funds. 

NC DECA Foundation Scholarship: Two scholarships are available to students statewide who complete the T Carl Brown Scholarship Application based upon the availability of funds.  

Currently:  $30,000 ($7500 per year for four years) and $15,000 ($3750 per year for four years)

DECA’s scholarship program provides over $200,000 in scholarships to high school and college DECA members at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) each year. Many corporate partners of DECA provide scholarships through the DECA scholarship program. DECA Inc. administers the program based on guidelines set by the donor. DECA scholarships are strictly merit-based.

Scholarships offered include:

Marriott International provides five (5) $2,000 scholarships to DECA members who have hospitality experience or interest. 

NTHS (National Technical Honor Society) provides two (2) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA members who are also members of NTHS. 

The Harry Applegate Scholarship Program is a scholarship fund that corporate supporters contribute to, but the scholarship is actually in the company’s name. Scholarships are awarded based on DECA/Collegiate DECA involvement, leadership ability, community service and academic performance.
