About the Department:
The Department of Sanskrit, Manikchak College started its journey by introducing General course in 2015. The department introduced Honours course in 2017-18 session. At present we offer Honours and General both courses as per the CBCS Syllabi introduced by University of Gour Banga in 2019-20. The faculty members focus on creating an interactive atmosphere in the classroom through using ICT. Students are encouraged to share their views during the discussion sessions and update faculty members about their subsequent progress on the syllabus. The Department has also organized special lectures by subject experts of other colleges and universities for familiarizing the students to various aspects of the CBCS syllabus. Apart from academic activities the department organizes extra- curriculum activities in regular intervals. Faculty members of the department function as guides but the motto of the department is to bring out the underlying quality and potential in students. So that they can contribute to the progress of the nation by becoming ideal citizens in future.
