October, 2025: Sandeep had visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal and delivered talk on "Optoacoustic Imaging: Listening to Light". It was a great experience  to interact with clinicians in the Departments of Oncology and Dermatology. Thank you very much Dr. Saikat Das and Dr. Jerene Mathews for hosting. September, 2025: The Biomedical Engineering (BME) group had successfully conducted workshop on Systems-level Medical Engineering and Technology. Sandeep had presented ongoing and future research activities in LISTEN Lab. This is to create awareness for prospective PhD students and postdocs.

August, 2025: Dr. Shataneek Banerjee joined as a Post-Doctoral Fellow after finishing his Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur! Welcome to LISTEN Lab!

July, 2025: Govind Sajeev, Uttirno Nath and Swapnil Anand joined LISTEN lab for their final year master's thesis project.

July, 2025: Our idea of developing Optoacoustic scanner was graduated to Level 2 in IDEAS Program, Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE), IIT Bombay. We have been granted additional INR 2.5 lakhs to build the prototype.

May - June, 2025: Four Bachelor students from various institutes across India (BITS Pilani Goa, MIT Manipal, NIT Warangal, CUSAT)  joined for summer internship in our lab.

May, 2024: Light and Sound Theragnostics Engineering (LISTEN) lab was formed in the Dept. of BSBE, IIT Bombay.

May, 2024: Dr. Sandeep Kumar Kalva joined as an Assistant Professor (Grade-1) in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai, India.
