About Group Leader: Dr.  Sandeep Srivastava 

Dr. Srivastava is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, CIT Kokrajhar (a Deemed-to-be University under MoE, Gov. of India ). He has served the institute in different administrative roles viz. "Dean, Research and Development" and Head, Department of Physics. He is the recipient of the prestigious “Early Carrier Research Award 2016” given by DST-SERB, Government of India. Recently he received "Emerging Researcher Award" 2019. 

 Before joining  CIT Kokrajhar, he worked in many reputed institutes like IIT Guwahati (for PhD), Institute Neel, Grenoble France, UCL Belgium and NTU Taiwan. This extensive research exposure has stimulated a strong interest in carrying out research work in the area of material science with a special emphasis on developing novel nanostructured magnetic materials for a wide range of applications such as high-density magnetic recording media/Sensors, Spintronics etc. Over the past 20 years, he gained adequate experience in preparing materials in various forms: and their characterization with various sophisticated techniques. He has received five sponsored research projects from various funding agencies like DST-SERB, CSIR, UGC-DAE-CSR. He has already supervised 7 PhD students and eight master theses and is supervising four PhD students & three master theses in his research group and has published his research work in 75 journals and 51 conferences.
