San Antonio's
1st ever Archives Bazaar!
The bazaar happened Saturday October 7th, 2023 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Brick in the Blue Star Arts Complex.
An archives bazaar is an opportunity for area archival repositories and community archives to showcase collections and their collecting focus. Free and open to the public, attendees will be able to learn about area archives, explore collection tables, listen to presentations, participate in a preservation lab, and enjoy regional musical entertainment.
This program is made possible in part with a grant from the Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed at the archives bazaar do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Support also comes from a grant from the Society of Southwest Regional Archivists, and institutional sponsors San Antonio Public Library, Trinity University, University of Texas at San Antonio, and Texas Digital Library.
Listen to an interview with committee member Abra Schnur discussing the archives bazaar on KRTU 91.7FM.

Information for Exhibitors, Presenters, and Volunteers
How many people should plan to come from my archives?
We would recommend at least two to help with load in, tear down, and for exhibiting breaks. Four is probably ideal to break into three hour shifts from 9-12 and 12-3.
What should I bring?
A table if you have one! Brick has some, but not enough to accommodate everything. A tablecloth and any items and information you wish to showcase from your archives. Brick has enough chairs to have two at each table.
Where do I park?
We want to reserve parking for attendees, please after you load in park along Gunther St, across from Blue Star, on the other side of the San Antonio River. This is where Brick recommends to park. For load in and pack up you can move the car closer to brick.
How do I let you know I am there?
There will be a check in table at the Brick entrance. Please check in with the volunteers there and they will direct you on where to go.
Will there be snacks?
We will have snacks and water for exhibitors, presenters, and volunteers. Please feel free to bring what you need to get you through the day.
