A Hidden Oasis or a Cesspool of Contamination Beneath the San Fernando Valley?
Come explore and discover the mysteries of one of California's largest aquifers. We will explore the geologic conditions that formed the San Fernando Aquifer, the current hydrologic setting, its water resources, and discuss the current contamination concerns. Through this, we hope to highlight the current remediation efforts that aim to reduce the cost of importing water to Los Angeles County, and to become more self sufficient.Â
