Our Public Classes
We offer two classes which will increase a boater's knowledge and skills. These classes are open to the public (membership is not required). The classes are presented as a public service by the Squadron and are taught by experienced Boaters familiar with our Local Waters. There is ample time for your questions.
Upon successful completion of “America’s Boating Course 3rd Edition,” students will receive a Certificate of Completion and a wallet card. The State of Florida will mail them their Florida Boating card. Students who wish to join our Squadron may receive two hours of on-the-water training in their own boat at no additional charge.
Upon completion of “Local Waters – Local Chart,” the boater will be able to plot a simple course on the chart, determine distances and find locations, and be able to determine "where am I' and how to get to where I wish to.
