I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati. Prior to this, I was an Assistant professor at the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences, Krea University, Sri City the School of Law, Mahindra University; School of Development Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and the School of Public Policy and Governance, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad.

    I am broadly interested in Development Economics, Financial Economics and Financial Inclusion, and Network Economics. My early research focused on the geographic dimensions of growth and development. Since then, I have worked on a variety of topics. My recent work focuses on the intersection of finance and development and I've been keen on approaching research questions with an interdisciplinary lens. I have also worked on the development experiences of Latin American economies. My recent book titled Reassessing the pink tide: lessons from Brazil and Venezuela (with Rahul A.     I obtained my PhD, under the supervision of Prof. Bart Verspagen, and Dr. Thomas Ziesemer from the United Nations University-MERIT and the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University The Netherlands.
