My areas of research involve both classical and quantum (noncommutative) mathematics.  I am interested in topics in mathematical analysis with a functional analytic flavour and  linked to classical operator theory,  operator algebras, operator spaces,  geometry of Banach spaces, ergodic theory, harmonic analysis, probability theory and analysis on groups. Non-commutative L_p-space is a common thread on which I often consider various problems from classical analysis. I am also interested in quantum information theory and computer science.

I am also currently looking for motivated PhD and Master's students to work on various projects. Interested students willing to work with me may contact me.

I can support a postdoc for four to five months using my INSPIRE grant (salary approximately 42.000/- per month). Anyone interested in this position with a phd on functional analysis, abstract harmonic analysis or Fourier analysis (in a broad sense) can contact me  via email samyaray7777@gmail.com . (This position is no longer avaliable but one can still contact me for the possibilities!)
