Hobbies
I’m passionate about nature, hiking, and running. I could spend hours just admiring the shapes of tree leaves, fascinated by how symmetry and randomness intertwine in their growth. I also enjoy boxing—it’s not only a fun challenge but a great way to connect with others.
Motivation and inspiration
Like Blaise Pascal and Thomas Bayes (I don't pretend to do as well as they do), I draw my motivation and inspiration from my faith in God. The Bible provides me with an ongoing source of challenges and guidance, helping me navigate a world that is both predictable in its darkness and astonishing in its light.
In my research, I would like to understand how to model relationships while preserving their fundamental nature, building on the insights provided by systematic and family therapy.
Societal interest
I’m not an expert or a model in sustainable development, but I have a keen interest in it. I’m unsure if it aligns with machine learning research, but time will reveal the possibilities.
Recent advancements in deep fakes are likely to transform our perception of information and our trust in authorities. I am particularly interested in exploring how to foster a trustworthy environment within communities or groups.
