My goal was to create a sturdy, imposing, and visually striking crown. I wanted to incorporate natural forms, such as stalagmites, to give my work a distinct look and style. I wanted the work to have a two-tone design, where the inner section features texture and serves as the main structure of the piece, while the outer section acts as a decorative element to bring cohesion and further solidify the sturdy theme. To make the piece look imposing, I wanted to add sharp points to create a more distinct form.
I used form-finding, generative, and paneling techniques. Making use of the Kangaroo physics nodes to make the form, Voronoi, and Stellate nodes to create the patterns of the form.
