Do you have an LTE watch or a BT version?

If the watches are connected by BT to the mobile then they should sync to the phone unless you are using some 3rd party designed watch face. If this is a 3rd party watch face, try one of the preinstalled watch faces and see if that works correctly.

Hello there, same exact issue here with Galaxy 3 watch with Egypt day light saving not appear correctly on my watch, I tried resetting it, software update, reinstalling backup or without, removing all 3rd party faces but still the same issue.

When watch is connected to phone, it always disables the manual time adjustment for the watch and this is when the time is set back to original time GMT+2 and the option for manual adjustment is disabled (auto sync is active and cannot disable it), the only way to get the watch display the right time is disconnecting it from bluetooth and adjust the time zone manually (so basically loose all connectivity with the watch except if both my phone and watch are connected to wifi)

I have a Samsung 5 Watch with Verizon Wireless who has been pretty useless with my question. My watch is LTE and mobile data is turned on. I hace number sharing enabled and should be able to still get texts to my watch even when I'm not in the same room/house as my watch and (per Samsung) when my phone is powered down manually or due to dead battery.

I woke up on 9/26 with no service on watch or cell and reached out to Verizon to see if there was an outage and the rep wouldn't check and made me go through troubleshooting steps including resetting network services on phone which wiped out my WiFi password and broke the connection between watch and phone wearable app. I reset the watch so that I could get it rexonnected to the app and since then, I do not get text messages to my watch unless I'm near the phone (Bluetooth and wifi both off). If I leave the house or phone is off, my texts no longer come to the watch.

I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd post the solution in case someone stumbles upon this looking for information. The issue is Google Cloud Sync, so all you have to do is go into the Google Play Services app and delete the data under Manage Wearable Storage. This resets Google Cloud sync, then when prompted you'll have to reconnect and reset your watch to Wearable. The alternative is to use Samsung's Call & Text (available on most late model Galaxy phones) which bypasses Google Cloud Sync and works perfectly.

I found out what the problem was after trying a million different things... When you get the drop down menu by swiping down, there is a wee speaker icon, turned out I had muted this when I tried to stop the sounds from playing, and this also doesn't show notifications anymore. Didn't work like this in my old Galaxy watch so never noticed this.. Set it to vibrate and now I get the notifications again.

I know this is old, but I hate google messages. For this very reason. I found out that I was able to disable Google Messages so that I could use Samsung Messages like we all used to (since all galaxys have both the google and samsung versions of apps) and once I went back to the old messaging app I started receiving notifications on my watch again.

I just got the new Samsung Galaxy 4 Classic. I have had it a little over a week now. My issue is it is putting a burn mark on my wrist where the sensor touches. I have my watch monitor all day to monitor my activity, heart rate, stress etc...

After a few days, my wrist started burning. (Please see the attached photos) I took the watch off for a few days and put on some coconut oil, and Epsom salt and it started to heal. What's left is a perfect circle that matches the very inner circle of the sensor.

I have the same exact problem woth the GWA4. I have burning on my wrist where the sensors are. I owned the GWA2 for years and had zero issues. Hopefully these sensors don't emit radiation. Samsung needs to get it together for this watch. Kind of scary.

But since evening, as I arrived home, I noticed the steps don't get counted anymore. I thought maybe I'm just confused with the numbers. So I slept and today, I see the steps count is 0. (I keep my watch on my wrist even when I'm sleeping. So I expect everything to be tracked just like the days before, that it was counting every single step I was taking)

I ran 3 miles and did 73 steps. WOW is that an accurate reading. I snowplowed driveway and it appears to be working. However, when I got inside and walked up and down hallway. No steps. If I walk with phone, I now have recorded steps. I thought watch was counting steps, not the phone.

After about 2 months of use the microphone stopped working on my Galaxy Active 2 watch. I intially thought it was a Bixby problem as it stopped responding to any voice commands but realized I also can't be heard when answering phone calls on the watch. The speaker works fine.

Well I guess I should have looked around the boards here more before posting. This seems to be a very common problem, with people having their watches replaced 6 times for it. Then I saw a post about the microphone port getting dirty and blocking the microphone. So I took a pin and carefully poked it in the hole. Sure enough there was debris on the pin when I pulled it out. Taadaa - problem solved! My microphone now hears me clearly. The microphone port is the small hole on the right side of the watch between the two buttons.

I can't believe that with the number of watches Samsung must be replacing over this issue they haven't sent out a message for basic cleaning maintenance. Now to try and figure out how to change this post to show the problem is resolved.

Hello, I am using Samsung Galaxy watch (B62B) (Model No. SM-R800) for syncing my Strava activity. It was working almost fine till yesterday until I encountered issue on syncing my morning run from Strava to Strava servers through watch. Little did I realise at that time that it can be something to do with watch.samsung.strava being down and did multiple things to fix and now have landed up in difficult situation. Looking for some assistance now.

Issues:

I'm happy to confirm that this issue has been resolved and the Samsung watches should work as expected with Strava. If you are still having issues, we ask that you submit a support ticket, and someone from Strava Support will be happy to work with you to troubleshoot.

One UI Watch4.5 will soon be available for Galaxy Watch1 devices, bringing a more complete watch experience. On top of the last version of Wear OS Powered by Samsung (running Wear OS 3.5), the new One UI Watch4.5 release adds a fuller typing experience, an easier way to make calls and a host of new intuitive accessibility features, together making the Galaxy Watch a more complete package.

1 One UI Watch 4.5 will be available for Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic and upcoming Galaxy Watch Series. Availability may vary depending on market, model and the paired smartphone.

2 Availability of QWERTY keyboard and Swipe to type may vary depending on language.

3 Requires being paired with a dual-SIM Galaxy smartphone.

4 Watch face customization options are provided by watch face creator, and the availability may vary.

5 Not supported during calls.

We have just released a beta version of HR2VP for Wear OS which runs on the watch 4. The app can broadcast heart rate as well as power to Zwift. You can connect an external Bluetooth HRM if you want more accuracy. With the app, you can use Zwift on any bike, without having to mount sensors on the bike. You only need your watch, your smartphone and optionally an external HRM.

To assemble your watch band, open the magnetic buckle, then open the clasp and slide the end of the band through the buckle. Gently pull the end of the strap to assist in opening the clasp. Close the buckle once you've found a good fit.

Moving to Google's Wear OS, a smartwatch platform that's been around for years, means the Watch 4 runs Google Play apps and can theoretically be a lot more hooked-in to Android phones. I say "theoretically" because, right now, a lot of the key things on the Galaxy Watch 4 happen to run off Samsung apps, which require a Samsung account. It's part of the Google ecosystem, but also stands apart from it.

It all adds up to a Samsung watch that feels more like a lateral move after last year's Watch 3 than a whole leap forward. While moving to Wear OS is a big deal, and could mean this watch finally feels as integrated to Android phones as Apple Watches do to iPhones, it feels like the Samsung ecosystem Band-Aid hasn't been ripped off completely. Based on how Samsung's Galaxy phones run Samsung apps right next to Google apps, that may not ever be likely to change. And that makes this first Samsung-Google watch collaboration a tiny bit hard to recommend since I don't know what future Wear OS watches could be like. Is Samsung's version the best? Right now, yes, because I can't think of any Android watch that's as well-made and full-featured as the Watch 4. But remember, again, you're really best off using this with a Samsung phone. 2351a5e196
