The dashboard allows you to quickly view the status of your devices, and you can use the app to easily control and manage them from your home screen. For example, you can use it to set times for your IoT lights to automatically turn on or to check on the progress of your wash on your connected washing machine.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher model DW80B707OUS and I contacted Samsung because the smart control light would go off after 5 seconds. They told me it was a faulty connection, to contact lowes for a exchange. Since then I learned that all I had to do was to press the smart control button and shut the door. It continues to stay connected and you are able to start the dishwasher from your phone. I'm posting this because I read somewhere where someone was complaining that Samsung was misleading customers for the smart control app. Samsung apparently , whom I spoke with was no help to me. I figured this out on my own. After an hour, it still stays connected with the door shut. I am still able to select my settings on my phone through smart things, and am able to start my dishwasher. Hope's this helps someone who was as confused about the app and control as I was.

Hi guys!

I spend about three days to connect my new washer and get SmartThing app resgistrated. Always showed the same error code 13-002 or 15-200.

I got resolved doing the following steps:

1- I set new SSID wireless (just to not change others IOT and make a new setup).

2- I changed the Security setting to WPA-PSK only (That is the secret). The Samsung washer works only WPA-PSK, if you set WPA2 or WPA3 you are facing all the related issues to this topic.

3- Run the setup once again.

Basically the whole process : I changed the way i connect my pc to wi-fi with a better wi-fi card and then i updated wi-fi bluetooth drivers for my wi-fi card, or from windows don't remeber exactly what control those ..

The only other thing that I have to try is getting hold of a wifi adapter that supports the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. At the moment my current one only supports 5Ghz but I hold little hope that the new one coming in the post will solve the issue (Miracast - the wifi tech that screen sharing uses- has to connect over the 2.4Ghz band so far as I'm able to understand)

I got mine to work in about 2 minutes after it not working for over a year. Someone mentioned bluetooth, on my windows 10 laptop i went to bluetooth devices, removed the "samsung 65" tv" from connected devices, then pressed the windows button and "k". Clicked on the tv, reconnected, and the tv prompted me to allow it to connect. Clicked allow, and boom! it worked!

Have you already tried power cycling the cooktop by turning off the breaker 3-5 mins, powering on, and then attempting to use the smart connect feature as described in the troubleshooting article below? Confirmed wifi connectivity by power cycling your router?

Now my next goal is it, somehow get the status of the gas cooktop, when any burner is ON, I want to turn ON the vent hood & lights. I have modified the vent hood to have the fan & lights turned ON always and I have this plugged into a smart outlet, I need to get the status of cooktop to trigger the ON or OFF of this smart outlet. I will create another post for this

Yes, that is all you need to do on the router, then on the devices, pick the SSID you want it to connect to. You only really need to uncheck SMART CONNECT and change the SSID for 5Ghz-1 or 5Ghz-2 ones, no need to change both. Both can have the same password.

Not only is the wired LAN faster and more reliable than wifi, it is also much easier to set up on a smart device. My Samsung "smart" BluRay player is really a bit dim, if not downright stupid, on that front.

Hi there I have a WD My Cloud 2TB and a Samsung Smart Hub TV Series 6. I cannot seem to connect the My Cloud to my TV. I have enabled DLNA in the Dashboard. The TV is not listed though as a media receiver. I have also checked the Twonky server page. The TV is not listed as a media receiver there either. The Cloud is connected by cable to the modem. The TV is connected by wifi. I am a bit of a novice at this. Can you help?

Most likely your router is creating a secondary network for the wireless connection, check the IP on a wireless connected device and check the IP on the My Cloud, to check if they are within the same subnet. Ex: 192.168.1.x or 10.0.0.x

These are the most expensive cameras on the market and somehow they lack capabilities with the best smartfridge? Get your team to work and figure this out please. Or at least point me towards a direction where I can write to someone with authority in your business unit that might be able to make change. If Nest is losing market share, things like this is why.

Good afternoon DP! I hope everyone had a good holiday! Quick question. Has anyone experienced connecting their 70d/80d to a smart TV? I'm having some issues actually displaying my pics on my Samsung Smart TV. I successfully connected the camera to the TV, and I see it as a source. But when I navigate to the 100Canon folder it does not display any pictures. The pics are all in RAW format, buy that shouldn't matter right?

I recently moved to Eero PRO 6, and since then my Samsung QLED QN82Q6FN Smart TV continuously drops WIFI connection, every time I switch on the TV. I have to go into Settings->Network, and set the wifi connection again, after which it starts working.

Devices decide whether or not to try and establish a connection with networks. I would first check to see if there are any updates you need to do on your TV. You can also reach out to Samsung as they might need to update the wifi adapter drivers as well. I do know that come computers with older wifi network cards needed to do this as well. I also have a few more questions to help us narrow down possible causes.

eero would not do anything that would prevent the TV from connecting to it if it had the password and network information saved into the TV. You stated that no other devices are exhibiting this behavior and that you need to go into the TV and setup the connection again. Something in the TV seems to be forgetting the network information.

We can do some testing on your network if you would like. However, this seems to be behavior isolated with your Samsung TV. Have you contacted Samsung support to find out if there were any firmware upgrades they can push to your TV and explained that your Samsung TV seems to be unable to connect to wifi after a period of time being offline?

One trouble-shooting step we can also take is to place your eero network into legacy mode and see if your Samsung TV was just having issues connecting to WiFi 6. The option is in the eero app: Settings -> Troubleshooting -> My Device Won't connect. Legacy mode turns off WiFi 6 on just the 2.4Ghz bandwidth which has more than enough speed to stream 4k HD shows.

We are also having the same issue at our house since we switched to the eero. We never had an issue with our old router. The eero is sitting next to our Samsung TV and seems to lose connection every night, once we turn off the tv for the evening. Once connected again in the morning, the tv does not lose connection. Just bought a switch so that I could wire the tv directly to the router so that this problem would go away, however, I am sure there is something with the way the eero is handling the connection that needs to be addressed. Other than, that we love our new router.

Update, still no fix however, I have noticed when I turn my TV on in the morning, if there is no connection, I can turn off the TV and wait two minutes. Then when I turn the TV back on it is reconnected to the network. I am going to try hardwiring soon. ff782bc1db
