Samsung Radio is an official Samsung tool that lets you tune into several radio stations with your Samsung smartphone. Since streaming music platforms and podcasts started gaining popularity, there just aren't a lot of smartphones that continue to include an antenna to listen to the radio.

Samsung Radio includes a simple interface that lets you listen to multiple radio stations from the comfort of your smartphone. All you have to do is think about the frequency that you'd like to tune into and in a matter of seconds, you'll be ready to listen to any show that's broadcasting.

One of Samsung Radio's main features is that you can change the radio station using just a few gestures. You can also save your favorite stations so that every time you start the app, you don't have to waste time looking for them manually.

Use the pre-installed radio app on your compatible Galaxy phone to listen to your local radio without the use of connecting to the internet. Follow the below guide for step by step instructions on setting up the Radio on your Samsung phone.

I have few music apps such as Mixcloud, few radio stations that after 10 minutes when the screen is off stop running. The moment I unlock my phone, the music is back. I checked the battery settings for each app allowing them to use the battery unrestricted but it didn't help. For some weird reason, Spotify works well. And if I go to the settings for apps to be put to sleep, these apps aren't on the list.

There seems to be a bug where Samsung Radio thinks you're in the middle of a call and won't let you pick stations from your station list, so you have to turn off the radio before picking your station from the list. Also, RDS (the text info broadcast by stations) doesn't work 99% of the time, I somehow saw it working one time today where it showed the station info in the notification, but I can't get it to work again. Otherwise though, the app works perfectly fine.

I am a regular FM listener and I am facing a annoying trouble with S10 Lite phone. Since the earphones provided with S10 lite is not suitable for my ears I have purchased a USB-c headset jack original Samsung adapter(EE-UC10JUWEGIN) to connect my 3.5 mm headphones, it is working all right with all the audio functionality except the FM radio, it says the connected headset cannot be used as Radio antenna. I disappointed and contacted Samsung and they said they don't have any other connecters or usb-c headphones for Samsung S10 lite. Then i purchased "Belkin in-Ear USB-C Headphones w/Mic Control" thinking that the connecter creates the problem and i faced the same issue with the new headset as well. I contacted Samsung customer support they don't have a clue and advised me to contact Samsung service center. I contacted the service center and they confirmed that Radio will only work with Samsung USB-c default headphones provided with set and they could not help further. I read all Samsung user manuals and nowhere i found supported headphone documentation. Any help would be appreciated on to resolve my problem.

I have a Samsung S20 Ultra that is currently on the "PMB" CSC and I am unable to use the FM radio functionality in it. I've read conflicting information about whether the generic "XAC" CSC comes enabled with FM radio functionality. I'm trying to figure out which CSC to switch my phone to, before I go ahead and perform the switch (which will involve backing up and resetting all the data, a time-consuming endeavour).

Is anyone running "XAC" on their Samsung S20 or S21 series phones? If so, would you be able to download the NextRadio app to check if the FM radio feature is available on your phone and share your results here?

@darliciousThanks for reiterating this, but my original message already states that my phone (provisioned with "PMB" CSC) has disabled FM radio. The question I posed in the original post still remains, about the presence of working FM radio in "XAC" (and/or other Canadian) CSC(s).
