Instead of constantly sifting through your notifications, select which apps send alerts and which ones don't. You can also customize the way your favorite apps send alerts, such as notifications, sounds, and vibrations. To make things even better, you can snooze notifications or access an app's notification settings from the Lock screen.

To customize your notifications, tap Notification settings at the bottom of the panel; the App notifications screen will open. You can tap the switch next to an app to enable or disable the app's notifications.

Every app will send you notifications about different things. For example, a social media app may send you notifications about a new video someone posted or a message your account received. You can customize which specific notifications you get, so you're not bogged down with ones you don't want.

Tap App icon badges, and then tap the switch at the top to turn the badges on or off. You can also choose Number or Dot for your Badge style. Tap the switch next to Notifications on app icons if you'd like to touch and hold an app icon to view your notifications.

If you are busy or on the go, it can be easy to miss notifications. To make your notifications more noticeable, turn on flash notifications. When this feature is enabled, your phone will flash every time a notification is received. Now you won't miss any important notifications, like an email from your boss or a text from a family member that needs help.

Have you ever accidentally closed a notification you were trying to read? With the Notification history feature, you can view your recent notifications exactly as they appeared. Now you'll never miss any important alerts, like system updates.

Your Galaxy phone is optimized to use and set up apps. If necessary, you can set access permissions for all types of apps at once, or individually select and set notifications for apps. To manage notifications and access permissions through settings, check out the guide below.

If app notifications are disabled, you will not receive notifications for the incoming messages from the app. In addition, if you'd like to remove unwanted notifications separately, follow the steps below.

Step 4. You can activate or deactivate notifications at once by tapping the switch of Show notifications, and you can also select the features you want to receive notifications for, e.g. the Chrome app.

My Gear S3 Frontier stopped displaying notifications for incoming text messages. They are listed in the messaging app, but the watch does not show new text notifications any more. I have tried to go to settings in the Samsung Gear app, but under manage notifications (where you turn notifications on and off for various apps), "messages" is not listed, so there is not switch to turn messages on or off.

We know you're busy. And when you're in a rush, you may not have time to unlock your phone or tablet to open and dismiss all those notifications. The good news is that you can manage your alerts right from the Lock screen with your device's notification settings.

From Settings, swipe to and tap Notifications, and then tap Lock screen notifications. Tap the switch at the top to turn on Lock screen notifications. From here, you can customize the available settings to your liking:

You probably have a bunch of apps on your device, like messaging and music apps, that you use daily. Your app notifications can be customized to suit your needs if you want to view, block, or snooze them during the day. Or, change up the notification sounds and vibrations so you can be alerted right away when you receive an important message.

Generally, you can change notification sounds for a particular app in the settings in the app itself, or going through the phone's settings--I've seen the option located in sounds, notifications, and under apps (I'm pretty sure most phones that I've done this on had multiple directions you could come at it from), in the past.

If you click on "in-app notification settings," it takes you to the app settings (pic 3)..... But clicking on notifications takes you right back to the phone's settings: apps:messages:notifications (pic 2).

I regularly have black bar notifications on the screen telling me the system has performed an action I have requested, but I can't seem to dismiss them, or find any settings for them to reduce the onscreen time. They can loiter for minutes, usually covering the input box in messages.

Some notifications arent loading up and only do so when the phone is connected to wifi. I'll spend a whole day driving around etc using my data to stream stuff however i'll get home and suddenly 10 ebay notifications load up.

I have an S21 (on T-Mobile) and all of a sudden my text notifications don't work. Everything is allowed under the settings, but only texts from three people actually show up. The rest just vibrate, but there is no pop-up. I've tried turning everything (notification-wise) on and off, even turning them on one at a time. But, nothing changes. I have no idea why the three names are showing up where they are, but they are the only ones it works for. I am SOOOO frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, this is not for bubble messaging/notifications; I've never used that and don't like it, but that also seems to be working fine, just not the pop-up notifications.

It was my bluetooth setting. I have bluetooth on so my Tesla will detect the phone and lock and unlock the car when I approach. I toggled bluetooth off then back on and now my Eufy notifications have sound on my phone. Am guessing that the Eufy audio notifications got sent to the car for some reason instead of the phone speaker.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some steps before posting over here. To resolve this, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

To further investigate the notifications issue you're experiencing, please send me a screenshot of the notification settings of the Fitbit app from the Messages app to verify that all the settings to receive notifications on your Charge 2 are correctly configured.

I've had the same problem...but resolved it ! ....went into the app via playstore...clicked on the notifications and then messages.. marked which ones I wanted switched on and it worked...hope it works for you !

make sure fit bit app is updated...next open fit bit app click on profile picture to the top left....next look for the devices section and click on your fitbit...once this screen shows look for the section General and click on notifications....this will either prompt your android device to ask for permissions for your fitbit to use certain things on your phone or you will need to click on text phone calls emails etc. and set the notification type you'd like!

I have a Samsung S21 + 5G using Android 13 and Google Nest Doorbell (battery). Even with nofications turned on in the Home app, I am not getting any notifications on my phone when the doorbell is pressed.

My Nest Mini, Nest Hub and my wife's iPhone 11 are all working and receiving notifications , ut my phone gets nothing. I have reset my phone, reset the doorbell, uninstalled and reinstalled the doorbell, reset the Hub, turned my bluetooth off, unpaired my Galaxy Watch 4 and still nothing.

If you read the pages during setup, you'll notice that one might say something to the effect of "because of changes to your phone, you will need to set up basic visual voicemail again." It's not always there but sometimes it pops up. Go through the setup procedures for visual voicemail, including waiting for it to process and then starting the app again. This has solved my notification problem on both of our S21 phones. Obviously, something got changed in the update that requires re-registering for basic visual voicemail in order to get the notifications."

It's not a guaranteed fix and in my experience, it might not last (mine went back to not sending notifications after a couple of weeks. Judging from the number of threads on this problem, VZW knows what's happening. They just like making us jump through hoops so it makes it look like they're helping us.

Yes my data is on and wifi. This reply is quite condescending. There is an issue with the voicemail notifications from many costumers, the app requires manual refresh to show new voicemail. This is not something being caused.by the settings on my phone 2351a5e196
