If you want feature-rich in-ear audio and Galaxy-focused listening for study, choose SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3; if you need over-ear comfort and longer stated battery life, choose Monster Persona 6th. For a desk, commute, or shared study space, the main difference is compact earbuds with adaptive noise control versus larger headphones with three listening modes and up to 60 hours of playback.
SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 vs Monster Persona 6th at a Glance
• SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3: In-ear fit, adaptive ANC, Bluetooth 5.4, and advanced Galaxy audio features are the strengths; full Galaxy AI functionality depends on using a Samsung Galaxy device.
• Monster Persona 6th: Over-ear design, ANC and transparency modes, and up to 60 hours of stated battery life are the strengths; its larger headphone format is less compact than earbuds.
• For long sessions where over-ear padding and fewer charging interruptions matter: Monster Persona 6th.
• For either pick: These are Bluetooth listening options, but their fit and controls suit different routines.
SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 are the better fit for someone who wants true wireless earbuds with a strong set of audio and noise-control features. They use Bluetooth 5.4 and support SSC HiFi and UHQ codecs, with audio specified up to 24-bit/96 kHz. The earbuds also include 360 Audio with Direct Multi-Channel, a feature described as especially immersive when paired with Galaxy devices. That makes them appealing for focused music listening or video sessions at a study desk, particularly if the rest of your setup is already Samsung.
Adaptive ANC is a practical advantage when you need to reduce surrounding sound without putting on over-ear headphones. The product also supports personalized sound profiles and environment-based voice optimization through Galaxy AI. Real-time language translation is another listed capability, though full Galaxy AI functionality requires a Samsung Galaxy device. Call features include Super Wideband microphones and AI-based noise reduction, which are intended to help keep speech clearer around background noise. For study, that combination may be useful if your routine includes online conversations as well as listening.
The listed battery average is eight hours, and the earbuds have an IPX7 water-resistance rating. That rating and the sweat-resistance description make them a more suitable choice for workouts or outdoor use than a product with no listed water-resistance claim. Touch controls provide a way to manage listening without reaching for a phone. The trade-off is platform dependence: iOS Bluetooth compatibility is noted, but some features are exclusive to Galaxy Android devices. This is an international model without a domestic warranty, another detail to weigh before choosing.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
Who should skip them: Skip the Buds3 if you want over-ear cushioning or if you need the longer stated playback time listed for Monster Persona 6th.
Monster Persona 6th is the more straightforward fit for a listener who prefers over-ear headphones. Its padded, slow-rebound memory-foam earcups and adjustable headband are designed for extended wear, while the folding design makes the headphones easier to pack away when a study session ends or a commute begins. That physical format can feel more settled for someone who does not want earbuds in their ears for a long stretch. It is also a more natural match for a home desk or a travel bag than for someone who prioritizes the smallest possible listening kit.
Its three listening modes give the buyer distinct options: active noise cancellation, transparency, and standard listening. ANC is intended to help create a more isolated listening experience, while transparency mode is designed to keep surroundings more audible. That choice is useful when moving between a quiet work period and a situation where awareness matters. The product also lists three EQ modes, though the supplied details do not name their individual tuning profiles. Bluetooth 6.0 provides wireless connectivity, and the headphones are described as compatible with a one-tap pairing process on compatible devices.
The clearest practical advantage is battery endurance: Monster lists up to 60 hours of playback. It also states that a 10-minute charge can provide five hours of playback. Those figures make the Persona 6th appealing for people who would rather charge less often, including students working through several study days or travelers planning long stretches away from an outlet. The trade-off is the over-ear form factor, which takes more room than earbuds and may not suit someone looking for a discreet option. The supplied information also does not list a water-resistance rating, so I would not choose it on the assumption that it is sweatproof.
Who should skip them: Skip Monster Persona 6th if compact in-ear wear or a listed water-resistance rating is central to your routine.

• Best for stated battery life → Monster Persona 6th. It lists up to 60 hours of playback, compared with the Buds3’s eight-hour average battery life.
• Best for a compact wireless setup → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3. They are true wireless earbuds, while the Monster is an over-ear headphone with a folding design.
• Best for switching between isolation and awareness → Monster Persona 6th. Its three listening modes include both ANC and transparency.
• Best for sweat-conscious workouts → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3. The IPX7 water-resistance rating is a concrete advantage; no comparable rating is listed for Monster.
• Best for extended over-ear comfort → Monster Persona 6th. Its memory-foam earcups and adjustable headband are designed for longer listening sessions.
• Best for Galaxy AI features such as real-time translation → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3. Full functionality requires a Samsung Galaxy device, so this advantage is most relevant to those users.
• Best for quick charging between long sessions → Monster Persona 6th. Its stated rapid-charge feature provides five hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.
Buying Considerations
For study, first consider the room and the way you like to wear headphones. If you study at a shared table, move around frequently, or want something that fits easily into a small bag, the Buds3’s in-ear design is the simpler physical option. If you settle into long blocks at a desk and prefer padded earcups around your ears, Monster’s over-ear build may feel like the more natural choice. Neither design is automatically right for every study space; comfort preference matters.
Battery claims also deserve a close read. Samsung lists an average battery life of eight hours, while Monster gives a playback figure of up to 60 hours and a rapid-charge claim. Those figures are presented differently, so they should not be treated as a direct lab comparison. Still, Monster’s stated endurance is the clearer fit if charging less often is a priority. For the Buds3, consider whether its in-ear convenience, water resistance, and Galaxy-focused features are worth more to your routine than a longer stated playback figure.
Finally, consider device compatibility and the details that are not provided. The Buds3 can connect to iOS devices through Bluetooth, but certain functions are exclusive to Galaxy Android devices. Monster lists Bluetooth 6.0 and one-tap pairing on compatible devices. The supplied information does not specify a water-resistance rating for Monster or name the Persona’s three EQ profiles, so avoid assuming either feature has details beyond what is stated. If you are comparing overall value, check the current price on Amazon; the right choice still depends on whether you will actually use the fit, battery, and platform features.
I would choose SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 for study if I used a Galaxy phone and wanted compact earbuds, adaptive ANC, and the listed audio features in one package.
Their IPX7 water-resistance rating also makes them the more versatile pick for a routine that includes workouts or time outdoors.
I would choose Monster Persona 6th instead for long over-ear sessions, transparency mode, and its much longer stated playback time.
For my study-focused recommendation, the Buds3 edge ahead when Galaxy compatibility and a small form factor matter most.
FAQ
Monster Persona 6th lists up to 60 hours of playback and says a 10-minute charge provides five hours. The Buds3 list an average battery life of eight hours, so Monster has the longer stated figure.
Neither product is described as open-ear: the Buds3 are in-ear earbuds, and the Monster Persona 6th are over-ear headphones. If you specifically want an open-ear design, these two options do not match that description.
Neither is described as bone-conduction or sleep headphones, so I would not choose either on those terms. The Buds3 do have an IPX7 water-resistance rating, but that does not make them a sleep-specific product; Monster’s supplied details do not list a water-resistance rating.
