If you want a premium, noise-canceling experience with advanced AI features specifically for high-stakes video calls on Android devices, choose SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3; if you need open-ear comfort that keeps you aware of your surroundings while offering massive battery life for all-day use, choose POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds.
• SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3: Delivers superior call clarity and immersive sound with Active Noise Cancellation, but requires a Samsung Galaxy device to unlock its full potential and lacks ambient awareness.
• POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds: Offers 60 hours of total playtime and an open design perfect for safety during movement, yet it provides no active noise cancellation and relies on passive fit.
• Best For: The SAMSUNG pick is for the professional needing silence and clarity in a noisy office or commute, while the POHPYU option is for the runner, cyclist, or home worker who needs situational awareness and long battery life.
The SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 are engineered for users who demand isolation from the world and crystal-clear communication when it matters most. If you are looking for the best headset for video calls where background noise is a constant distraction, these earbuds stand out immediately. The inclusion of Super Wideband (SWB) microphones combined with Galaxy AI technology allows them to capture a wider bandwidth of voice data and reconstruct lost audio bits. This means even in chaotic environments, your voice remains crisp and intelligible to the person on the other end of the line. They are not just about hearing; they are about being heard clearly without the static and echo that plague lesser wireless headsets.
For those prioritizing audio fidelity, the technical specifications here are impressive. With Bluetooth 5.4 support, these earbuds utilize SSC HiFi and UHQ audio codecs capable of delivering 24-bit/96kHz sampling rates. This is a significant upgrade over standard compression, offering a depth and richness that makes music, podcasts, and conference calls feel more dynamic. The IP57 water and dust resistance rating also suggests a rugged build quality, making them suitable for intense workouts or sudden rain showers without fear of damage. The stem design places the microphones closer to the mouth, further optimizing voice pickup compared to bud-only designs.

However, this product comes with specific constraints that potential buyers must accept before purchasing. The "Galaxy AI" features, including real-time language translation and voice optimization, are strictly limited to Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 8.0 or later with sufficient RAM. While they function as standard Bluetooth earbuds with iOS or non-Samsung Android phones, you will miss out on the core software advantages that make them unique. Additionally, the in-ear design with silicone tips creates a seal that blocks external noise entirely. For some, this is the desired effect for focus; for others, it can be isolating or uncomfortable during long wear sessions. If you need to hear a doorbell, a crying child, or traffic while working from home, these might not be the right tool for you.
The POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds cater to a completely different philosophy: staying connected to the world around you while enjoying your audio. These earbuds are designed with an open-ear structure that leaves the ear canal completely unobstructed. This design choice is ideal for anyone who needs to maintain situational awareness, such as cyclists, runners, or individuals working in shared spaces where they need to hear colleagues or alarms. Weighing only 8 grams per earbud, they offer a "zero-pressure fit" that many find comfortable for extended periods, avoiding the fatigue often associated with in-ear monitors that push against the ear canal.
Battery life is arguably the standout feature of this model. With a single charge providing up to 13 hours of playback and the charging case extending that to a massive 60 hours, these earbuds eliminate the anxiety of running out of power mid-day. Whether you are traveling across time zones or simply working a double shift, the 14.2mm dual drivers deliver balanced sound without the need for frequent recharging. The Bluetooth 6.0 chip ensures a stable connection with low latency, which is crucial for syncing audio with video content or maintaining a steady stream during long meetings. The IPX5 water-resistant rating adds another layer of reliability, protecting the internal components from sweat and light rain during outdoor activities.
Despite their strengths, there are trade-offs inherent to the open-ear design. Because they do not create a physical seal in the ear, they cannot offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). In a quiet room, this is fine, but in a loud coffee shop or on a busy street, the surrounding noise will mix with your audio, potentially requiring you to raise the volume higher than you would with sealed earbuds. Furthermore, while they support touch controls and work with both iOS and Android, they lack the specialized AI processing found in the SAMSUNG alternative. They are built for utility, durability, and comfort rather than premium audio isolation or smart features. If you are looking for a foldable in ear earbuds for video calls that prioritizes battery life and safety over noise blocking, this is a strong contender, provided you can manage the lack of ANC.
• Best for Video Call Clarity → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3: The Super Wideband microphones and AI voice reconstruction provide a level of professional audio quality that open-ear designs simply cannot match in noisy environments.
• Best for Battery Life → POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds: With up to 60 hours of total playtime, these far outlast the SAMSUNG option, which offers roughly 7 to 8 hours per charge depending on settings.
• Best for Safety and Awareness → POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds: The open-ear design ensures you never miss ambient sounds, making them the superior choice for outdoor exercise or walking in traffic.
• Best for Audio Fidelity → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3: The support for 24-bit/96kHz UHQ audio codecs and Bluetooth 5.4 delivers a richer, more detailed listening experience for music lovers.
• Best for Durability in Water → Both are strong, but SAMSUNG offers IP57 (dust and immersion protection), while POHPYU offers IPX5 (sweat and splash protection); SAMSUNG edges out slightly for rigorous conditions.
• Best for Feature Ecosystem → SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3: Only these earbuds integrate with Galaxy AI for real-time translation and advanced voice optimization, though this is locked to Samsung phones.
• Best for Universal Compatibility → POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds: They function fully across all devices without requiring specific brand ecosystems or proprietary apps to access basic features.
• Best Value for All-Day Wear → POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds: The lightweight, pressure-free design combined with massive battery capacity makes them ideal for 12+ hour shifts without discomfort.
After analyzing the specs and intended use cases, I would personally choose the SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 for my daily routine, primarily because of their performance as a best gaming headset for video calls. The ability to isolate noise while ensuring my voice is captured with high-fidelity clarity is essential for my work, and the AI features add a layer of convenience that the POHPYU cannot match. However, I recognize that this is a personal preference based on a need for isolation and premium audio processing. If my priority were staying safe while running outdoors or having earbuds that last two days on a single charge, I would switch to the POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds immediately. For the specific scenario of high-quality video conferencing where clarity is paramount, the SAMSUNG option is the clear winner in my book.
Yes, the SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 are better suited for this due to their Active Noise Cancellation and Super Wideband microphones that filter out background chatter. The POHPYU model lacks ANC, so ambient noise will likely be picked up by the microphone.
The POHPYU Open Ear Earbuds offer significantly longer battery life, totaling up to 60 hours with the case, whereas the SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3 provide approximately 7 to 8 hours of continuous playback on a single charge.
For the SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds3, advanced features like real-time translation and voice optimization require a Samsung Galaxy device. The POHPYU earbuds work fully with any Bluetooth-enabled device without restrictions.
Both models are suitable for exercise, but they serve different needs. The POHPYU earbuds are ideal for outdoor running due to their open-ear design that keeps you aware of traffic, while the SAMSUNG buds are great for indoor gym sessions or running where noise isolation is preferred.
