If you want a premium, minimalist listening experience with seamless ecosystem integration and reliable all-day battery life for movies, choose Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N; if you need rugged durability, advanced touch controls via a smart case, and customizable sound profiles for high-intensity workouts or variable environments, choose jaddsa Earbuds.
• Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N: Offers 22 hours of total playtime and a minimalist design that isolates distractions perfectly, but requires a smartphone app to access full features and lacks the rugged water resistance needed for heavy sweat.
• jaddsa Earbuds: Delivers a secure fit with IPX7 waterproofing and a unique touchscreen charging case for on-the-fly EQ adjustments, though it prioritizes sports utility over the refined, quiet isolation of the Samsung.
• Who picks which: The Samsung is ideal for commuters and movie enthusiasts who value long battery life and clear voice calls in noisy settings, while the jaddsa fits athletes and travelers who demand a grip-tight fit and instant audio customization without digging into menus.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N are engineered for the user who values immersion above all else. When I look at the specifications, the standout feature is the ability to isolate you from distracting noises while still allowing you to filter in the outside world when necessary. This dual capability makes them an exceptional choice for watching movies in transit. You can toggle Ambient Aware to hear flight announcements or oncoming traffic without removing the earbuds, a feature that keeps you safe while maintaining your focus on the plot. The dynamic driver system, paired with a frequency response spanning 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, ensures that the audio remains crisp and balanced, capturing both the deep bass of action scenes and the subtle dialogue of dramas.
Battery life is another critical factor for anyone using these as their primary device for extended entertainment sessions. With a single charge providing up to 11 hours of nonstop music, these earbuds easily cover a long-haul flight or a full workday. The wireless charging case extends this further, adding nearly another 11 hours of power. If you find yourself in a rush and forget to charge overnight, the quick-charge capability is a lifesaver; just three minutes of charging grants one hour of play time. This reliability means you won't be left hanging mid-movie because your battery died unexpectedly.

However, these earbuds are not built for the most aggressive physical activities. They lack the specific ergonomic hooks found on sports-focused models, relying instead on a rounded, in-ear shape designed for comfort during sedentary use. While they are compatible with both Android and iOS devices, maximizing their potential requires downloading the Galaxy Wearable or Galaxy Buds+ app. If you prefer a set-and-forget experience without needing to manage apps or update firmware constantly, the learning curve might feel unnecessary. Furthermore, the lack of an explicit waterproof rating beyond standard splash resistance suggests they should be kept away from heavy rain or intense sweating. They are best suited for the office commuter, the frequent flyer, or the home viewer who wants a clean, black aesthetic and consistent performance.
The jaddsa Earbuds take a completely different approach, focusing heavily on active lifestyles and hands-free control. Unlike traditional cases that simply hold the buds, this interface allows you to switch songs, adjust volume, change EQ modes, locate your earbuds, or take calls directly from the case with fingertip touches. This is a game-changer for users who do not want to fumble with their phone screen while driving, hiking, or managing a workout routine. The ability to instantly switch between five EQ presets—Rock, Hip-hop, Pop, Classic, and Bass Boost—means you can tailor the sound profile to match your current activity, whether you need a heavy beat for sprints or clear vocals for a cool-down yoga session.
Durability is where the jaddsa truly shines compared to its competitor. With an IPX7 waterproof rating verified by thousands of lab tests, these earbuds are designed to withstand mountain climbing, rainy-day cycling, and heavy sweating without hesitation. The ergonomic sport design includes flexible silicone earhooks and three sizes of ear tips (S-L), creating a "gravity-defying" fit that stays secure during burpees and high-intensity interval training. This secure fit is crucial for anyone who moves around a lot; you never have to worry about them falling out mid-sprint. Additionally, the Bluetooth 5.4 technology offers a connection range of 33 feet with low latency of ≤60ms, ensuring perfect audio-sync for videos even in high-interference areas like crowded public transit.
That said, the jaddsa sacrifices some of the ultra-minimalist isolation that the Samsung provides. While they feature Adaptive ANC and ENC for calls, the primary design language is built for exposure and movement rather than total silence. The inclusion of a touchscreen case adds bulk to the pocket, which might not appeal to those seeking the slimmest possible carry-on profile. These earbuds are perfect for the gym-goer, the outdoor adventurer, or the tech enthusiast who loves experimenting with sound settings on the fly. They are also an excellent choice for anyone who needs a robust connection that doesn't drop in crowded spaces, thanks to the latest Bluetooth standard.

For my own recommendation, I would buy the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N if my primary goal was consuming media, specifically for movies. The 22-hour battery life ensures I never run out of power during a binge-watch session, and the ability to isolate distractions while staying aware of my surroundings makes them safer for use in public spaces. The sound quality from the dynamic drivers feels precise enough to appreciate the nuances of film scores and dialogue. However, if I were buying these for daily gym sessions or outdoor running, I would immediately switch to the jaddsa Earbuds because the IPX7 rating and secure fit are non-negotiable for that lifestyle. Ultimately, the Samsung wins on longevity and audio fidelity for stationary entertainment, while the jaddsa wins on versatility and ruggedness for an active life.
Yes, both models support high-fidelity stereo sound with dynamic drivers, but the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N offers better noise isolation for immersive viewing, while the jaddsa Earbuds provide lower latency for better audio-sync.
No, the jaddsa Earbuds feature a standalone touchscreen charging case that allows you to control volume, EQ modes, and calls directly on the case without needing to open a smartphone application.
The jaddsa Earbuds are rated IPX7 waterproof, making them fully capable of handling heavy sweat and rain during workouts, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N are not explicitly rated for such extreme water exposure.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ R175N offer up to 11 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, totaling 22 hours with the case, slightly edging out the general usage expectations for sports-focused alternatives.
