3. Set a server name (eg: My Auto Backup) for the PC auto backup task and then click OK to keep the default location to receive photos. And you can also select a new one.

5. On the Connect to Backup Server, click the backup server - My Auto Backup and then Confirm to execute Samsung PC auto backup. Afterward, it will start to send files to your computers.

Except for the PC Auto Backup program, you still can use powerful software - AOMEI Backupper Standard to perform automatic backup and transfer photos from camera to computer automatically. You just need to connect the Camera before the scheduled task starts.

The PC files are as important as photos in the camera, it may be your family photos, movies, documents, etc. So it is necessary to backup PC files automatically. In fact, Windows comes along with two backup software and both of them help you auto backup PC files.

6. By default, Backup and Restore (Windows 7) backup PC files at 7:00PM every Sunday. If you want to backup files more or less frequency, click Change schedule to modify the schedule settings. And then, click Save settings and exit to start the auto PC backup.

At the same time, you still can use it to sync or backup PC files for disaster recovery. And it provides users with a real auto backup feature - Schedule Backup instead of just name it. You can choose to run the backup task daily, weekly, or monthly. Besides, its advanced edition still helps manage disk space automatically for new backups.

I have noticed that at times the auto backup feature on the horrible My Cloud Home app is not consistently backing up my pictures. Is anyone having the same issue? If so, what do I need to do to fix this issue?

Thank you for that but with no disrespect, I already did that. If that was

the issue, I would not have had to come to this forum for answers. What I

did notice is if I log out of the app then log back in, the auto-backup

feature begins to work. I also noticed someone else on this forum mentioned

that as well. Not sure why logging on/off the app fixes the issue.

It is NOT resolved!!! Why do I have to log in and out for auto-backup

to work? There is an issue with the app!! My Dropbox, Amazon Photos, and

Google Photo application have NO issues with auto-backup. Only the My Cloud

Home app!!!

Has anyone found a fix for this? I noticed that my camera on my mobile phone stopped backing up 2 weeks after I setup the dang thing. I read you have to clear the cache. I tried that and it worked once! has not updated since. I also noticed in the settings the Android Mobile App keeps turning the auto backup and cellular data off on its own. This is ridiculous!

The camera roll on your device only backups to Microsoft OneDrive - it does not sync photos both ways. That means you can delete backed up photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won't be affected.

If your camera backup is taking too long to set up or look for photos, without giving any error message, it could be because you have too many photos in your camera roll, or that you are out of storage space. Read What does it mean when your OneDrive account is frozen?

New phone continuously creates a folder in ONE DRIVE named SAMSUNG, under the category PHOTOS. It then uses that site as an automatic backup of PHOTOS on my phone. I have been unable to find the instruction to tell it to stop. I have a paid photo backup. One Drive is maxed out daily until I delete that folder. Have never backed up photos to One Drive since Documents backed up take up 86% of the free space.

Thanks, Coldamus! I was able to upgrade firmware manually, though the camera didn't behave precisely as the manual described. I confirmed the body FW is now 1.13 and lens is 1.0 through the camera menu. Then the i-launcher FW upgrade button also started to work correctly. May be it failed to recognize the memory card in the first place because there was no .bin file on it? Now my only problem is that auto PC backup doesn't pull images off the camera. I'll have to play with it more and see if I can figure that out. My PC is running the program but the folder I designated is still empty. If this is how it's going to be with all of the software, I'm not looking forward to Lightroom at all!

Hey guys! I have read about a lot of apps for photo backup from Android phone to the NAS and it's very confusing- DS Photos, Synology Photos, Moments, Photosync, etc, etc. My use case is simple. I would like to backup photos from my Android phone's camera folder to NAS. Backup, not sync. I would like the photos to be in full resolution, not compressed. I would also like to share this photos folder with certain other users on the NAS. I'm on DSM 7. Which app would be the best for my purpose? Thanks in advance for the help!

Edit: Thanks for the responses everyone! I went with Synology Photos and I was able to backup all the camera images and videos to the NAS. I now have to figure out how to share it with other users on the network.

So I got this no name android auto unit about a month ago and like it just fine but haven't been able to figure out the backup camera. It came with a power plug and yellow rca coming from the camera and a 3.5 jack on the other end. I hooked up power from the plug to my reverse light and the light comes on but no video signal. The 3.5 jack doesn't fit the head unit(even though it came with it) so I got a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter, hoping that would work but no luck. Should the rca/2.5 jack be powered? I've seen other units that have more wires than this one does and I've seen a guy on YouTube connect power to the rca with luck but it seemed sus. I don't want to fry anything so I'm reaching out before trying anything else.

All screen recordings on my phone (Samsung A52) both videos and pictures are automatically backed up to Google Phots, which runs out of space now.

I like my regular gallery to be backed up, but since my 'camera folder is backed up automatically' all footage is included.

I like to have to option to tick off all GameBooster / Google Play Games related recordings.

I looked around for ways to change the backup location or which folders are backed up, but apparently the 'camera folder' in its entirety is being backed up automatically.

I also can't find the location where to choose a storage location of game recordings.

New photos and videos added after the first backup.

If AutoBackup is enabled, new photos and videos will be automatically uploaded each time you OPEN and USE the app.

Verify content is uploading by viewing the update status in the Menu, below the Add Photo, Do More, and Import USB Icons.

Once the numbers start to decrease and/or reach zero, uploads will finish and content will be available under the "My Camera Roll Backup" folder.

Using the same "My Cloud Home" account on different iPhones and turn ON auto backup.

For the same "My Cloud Home" account used with multiple iPhones, a unique "Camera roll backup" folder will be created for each iPhone.

What happens when I switch ON the auto backup?

After you toggle the feature to ON, the app will start indexing and calculating the number of files on your camera roll. This will be reflected as an app badge icon, shown on your phone's home screen. After the app has calculated the total number of files, which can vary given the size of your camera roll, it will start uploading a copy of your files to your "My Cloud Home".

What happens to new photos and videos added after the first backup?

If you have enabled AutoBackup, all new photos and videos will be automatically uploaded each time you OPEN and USE the app. A good way to check if your content is uploading is to go to your device's home page and monitor any changes to the app badge (The count should reflect the number of photos since you last backed up). Once the numbers start to decrease and/or reach zero, the upload will be finished and your content now available under the "My Camera Roll Backup" folder.

What happens if I use the same "My Cloud Home" account on different iPhones and turn ON auto backup?

For the same "My Cloud Home" account used with multiple iPhones, a unique "Camera roll backup" folder will be created for each iPhone.

Whether at home or out with friends, Auto Backup and virtual Cloud storage give users the freedom to keep snapping, safe in the knowledge that memory space and Wi-Fi security are taken care of. Not only can photos be shared with a global audience, but cloud storage through services such as Allshare Play and Microsoft SkyDrive give peace of mind that images are safe in the event of loss or damage to the camera while offering numerous additional advantages such as free storage. Simply access, transfer, download and backup images to a personal server in the clouds or via a PC in the comfort of your home. Thanks to the TV Link feature, you can also search and enjoy large-scale images on your TV screen at the touch of a button.

The release of Android mobile app version 4.20.1 addresses the issue with the backup being disabled and contains an optimized auto backup functionality. We recommend updating to this version as soon as possible. Once the app is updated, please ensure to open the app and enable auto backup to contine backing up the phone content.

The latter creates backups based on a schedule the user has set. Backups will start automatically, so you can have peace of mind. The software also allows encryption of the backup file with SafetyKey.

Outside of the wireless features, the camera is just a nice ultracompact. It's using a 14-megapixel CCD (1/2.3-inch type), a 26mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom, and a 3-inch touch-screen LCD, and shooting modes are automatic, meaning there's no full control over aperture and shutter speed. In fact, using it is a lot like using a smartphone camera due to an abundance of filters and simple editing tools. Oddly, given the extensive shooting features, Samsung used digital image stabilization--not optical or mechanical--which is its biggest feature shortcoming. e24fc04721
