This Privacy Policy describes how SAMS Group of Companies ("SAMS", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information from authorized employees using the SAMS Worker mobile application ("the App").

This App is intended exclusively for internal use by SAMS Group of Companies employees and is not available for general public use.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use the App:

Personal Information

Full name — used to identify your account
Email address — used for account login and communication
Phone number — used for account management and emergency contact
Employee ID — used for internal identification

Location Data

Precise GPS location — recorded at check-in and check-out times to verify on-site presence at client work locations. Location is only collected when you actively use the App and initiate a check-in or check-out. The App does not collect location data in the background.

Work Activity Data

Work log entries — task descriptions, service categories, quantities, and measurements you enter when logging completed work
Photos — images you voluntarily upload to document completed work tasks
Workday records — check-in and check-out timestamps, total hours worked per day

Technical Data

Device token — used to send push notifications about work assignments
Crash reports — anonymous technical data used to improve app stability

2. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used exclusively for legitimate workforce management purposes:

Recording and verifying daily attendance at client sites
Tracking completed work tasks and service hours
Generating payroll and performance reports for management
Ensuring worker safety through location verification
Communicating work assignments and updates via push notifications
Improving app performance and fixing technical issues

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers located in the European Union (Ireland — eu-west-1 region). This ensures compliance with European data protection regulations.

We implement the following security measures:

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
All data is encrypted at rest in Firebase secure storage
Access is restricted to authorized SAMS management personnel only
Firebase Authentication ensures only verified SAMS employees can access the App

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Your data may be accessed by:

SAMS management and authorized administrators — for workforce management purposes
Google Firebase — our cloud infrastructure provider (data processor), subject to Google's data protection commitments
Google Crashlytics — anonymous crash reporting only

Data may be disclosed if required by Spanish or EU law, or in response to a valid legal request from competent authorities.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you are an active SAMS employee. Upon termination of employment:

Your account is deactivated within 7 days
Personal data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days
Work records may be retained for up to 5 years for legal and payroll compliance purposes, in accordance with Spanish labor law

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As SAMS Group of Companies is based in Spain, we comply fully with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — request a copy of your personal data we hold
Right of rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
Right of erasure — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Right to restrict processing — request limitation of how we use your data
Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Right to object — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

7. Children's Privacy

The SAMS Worker App is intended for use by adults (18 years and older) employed by SAMS Group of Companies. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the App, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify affected employees of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
