How can I maximize the power of one iPad in the classroom?

Overview:

mobility about the room and "Guide by the Side" teaching
writing/sketching/calculating using a stylus
hand the iPad to students to show their calculations
interactivity for 100% student engagement and formative assessment

Mobility for Guide by the Side:

Teacher moves from "sage on the stage" to "guide by the side."
With mobility, a teacher does not have to continually run to the desktop to move to the next slide.
Teachers can instruct and observe student application throughout the room
Students can ask teachers for help more easily as they walk about the room

Freehand Work:

Teachers don't have to be locked to their desk and document camera to show handiwork.
Teachers can use their iPad and a whiteboard to display their work on the Apple TV. One less piece of equipment means you are more mobile.

Student Use:

Students can use the iPad, too. Teachers can pass the iPad to a student to show their work in real time on the iPad and Apple TV.
The iPad can become a station where students make recordings or use different apps that support the standard being covered.

Using the Peardeck add-on for Google Slides, teachers can turn their Slides presentation into an interactive presentation with formative assessment and work slides embedded into the presentation.
Teachers can see in real time how well the students understand the work.
