SampratiVartah (ISSN: 2456-3943), founded on September 16, 2015, and supported by the Samskrita Prachara Sabha, is a premier teacher-led digital ecosystem operating dual-wings: a comprehensive online Sanskrit daily newspaper and a formal, peer-reviewed open-access academic research journal section (E-Journal).
Our overarching mission is "Sanskrit through Digital Journalism"—integrating modern media, technology, and rigorous academic research to make Sanskrit accessible, relevant, and engaging in the digital age.
To uphold the absolute integrity of academic research in Sanskrit Language, Literature, Vedic Studies, and Traditional Indian Knowledge Systems, the E-Journal section strictly enforces a Double-Blind Peer Review Process:
Initial Screening: The Chief Editor reviews all submitted manuscripts for initial alignment with formatting guidelines, academic scope, and potential plagiarism.
Double-Blind Evaluation: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent subject matter experts (from our Editorial Board or external peer reviewers). The identities of both authors and reviewers remain completely concealed throughout the process.
Editorial Verdict: Based on the detailed evaluations and recommendations of the peer reviewers, the Editorial Board exercises final authority to Accept, Request Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject the manuscript.
Open Access Framework: Believing in the free and democratic dissemination of knowledge, SampratiVartah operates on a complete Open Access model. All news, educational materials, and peer-reviewed articles are instantly and permanently accessible online to readers worldwide without institutional or subscription barriers.
Copyright & Creative Commons: All formal academic articles published in our E-Journal wing are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain the absolute copyright of their scholarship while granting SampratiVartah the right of first formal publication.
Zero-Tolerance for Plagiarism: SampratiVartah stands firmly against any form of academic piracy. Every submission must consist of completely original articles, must not be under evaluation elsewhere, and must not have been previously published.
Misconduct Prevention: Any verified instance of academic data fabrication, overlapping/redundant publication, or unethical sourcing will result in immediate rejection or subsequent retraction of the published paper.
Linguistic Scope: The primary language of publication for the formal peer-reviewed E-Journal section is Sanskrit (rendered in the Devanagari script). However, high-quality scholarly research papers composed in English or Hindi that directly intersect with Sanskrit linguistics, historical pedagogy, and classical literature are actively considered.
Formatting: Contributors must submit their manuscripts in editable MS Word format alongside a corresponding PDF. Submissions must explicitly include an informative Abstract and relevant Keywords.
To protect and secure published intellectual property against unforeseen technical failures, server migrations, or data loss, SampratiVartah implements reliable long-term digital preservation strategies:
All formal research papers and associated metadata are preserved within permanent cloud infrastructures linked through secure repository environments.
The platform's active pages are periodically indexed and crawled by global digital archiving entities (such as the Wayback Machine / Internet Archive), guaranteeing that this scholarly record remains accessible to future generations of researchers.
