Sammara ecolodge is located in the middle of the jungle along the islands with stunning views,our retreat center is built entirely on stilts,you can get to our lodge only by boat ride ,similar to our neigboring village,san juan de huashalado.
A maloca is an ancestral long house built by Indigenous people of the Amazon settled in regions of the forest in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.Malocas are architectural structures in which multiple families share daily activities and ritual practices, The Maloca represents a physical manifestation of the cosmos, their ancestral knowledge, and a spatial strategy for living in harmony with nature. And is symbolic representation of the human body, sun’s or moon’s .Every person will have their own mat for
their entire retreat in the maloca, is also enclosed with double netting around the outside,as well as lining the short walk to the bathrooms,our Maloca has showers for both women and men .
some people choose to sleep in the sacred moloca space after a long night of Ayahuasca. It's actually a very enjoyable space to sleep in and it feels good to stay with your group.
Each bungalow has a panoramic view of the surrounding Amazon jungle. You can enjoy some peaceful rest in your hommack, or in the maloca with your fellow tour participants. The cottages have thatched roofs and private shower with cold and hot water ,only the hot shower works when generator is on,the showers run at at cool temperature but since the weather gets hot and humid,they will be refreshing;and sit on 2.20 mtcm on concrete stilts above the jungle floor, each of our beds are equipped with netting. Retreat participants who visit the center on their own will be assigned either one or two roommates.

If you’re traveling with friend, husband or wife, please let us know, and we will ensure ,you can room together, if you would be more comfortable with a private single occupancy bungalow let us know, and we can accommodate this at an additional cost, based on availability.
we do not recommend drinking the sink water ,we provide every room with a fresh water pitcher or free mineral water bottle .coffee antd tea in the dining room that is accessible at all time (if you are not going to parcticipate in aya ceremonies)
