Student Supervision
In 2022, I was co-supervisor along with Masoud Kamgarpour for the Honours project (Americans, read: REU) by Stefano Giannini, "Invariant theory of maximal unipotent subgroups of reductive groups."
UNC Chapel Hill Directed Reading Program
From 2018--2021, I served as a founding committee member of the Directed Reading Program (DRP) in the Mathematics Department at UNC Chapel Hill. The first of its kind in the department, the DRP brings together motivated undergraduate and senior graduate students to work on semester-long independent reading projects beyond the standard curriculum. These projects culminate in end-of-term presentations, often the participants' first experience presenting and discussing math in a "seminar"-style setting.
In the Fall 2018 semester, I led a reading project on an introduction to classical Lie algebras and the representation theory of sl(2). I would love to answer questions or talk about how the program runs and how it can be implemented in your department!
