Sami Welsh was born in Revere, MA. Growing up he was very athletic, playing various sports including Basketball. Once he got older he started to take Basketball seriously, training every day until it turned night. His favorite activities are hiking, playing volleyball, and hanging out with his friends. Once he got into AAU (which is a basketball team that travels in the offseason), he fell in love with playing Basketball. Making new friends, playing people better than him, and getting better at the sport he plays.
"Class of 2026 6'3 St John's Preparatory School (MA) Sami Welsh was impressive at the Elite 60 National Camp. Sami can hit shots off multiple moves, good balance on jumpers, physical finisher, uses his motor to his advantage, reliable and a force defensively." -Stellar Hoops
