• Conduct interdisciplinary research on NiTi/Nitinol smart biomaterials and medical-device design.

• Investigate additive manufacturing strategies for complex and patient-specific biomedical devices.

• Integrate materials science, computational modelling and biomedical engineering toward personalised medical-device development.

• Evaluate the prototypes through comprehensive microstructural, mechanical, fatigue, corrosion, and biocompatibility testing to verify performance against the design requirements.

• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes for next-generation implantable medical device.

• A roadmap supporting future regulatory development and technology transfer to medical device

•  Optimize the device design and manufacturing process based on experimental findings to enhance safety, functionality, and long-term reliability.

• Prepare scientific publications, commercialization roadmap to support intellectual property generation, clinical translation, and future industry adoption.

• Collaborate across mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering and materials research domains.

• Conducted research on the mechanical and microstructural behaviour of steel alloys with different crystal structures.

• Investigated different crystal structures under blast loading using advanced materials characterisation and qualitative microstructural analysis.

• Applied EBSD, SEM and mechanical testing to investigate deformation behaviours and microstructural evolution.

• Published research in international peer-reviewed journals and contributed to interdisciplinary research collaborations.
