This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how user information is handled within the app "SAMI" (the "App").
To provide the Service, the App collects the following information:
Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, the name (display name), email address, and authentication identifier provided by those services.
Profile information: Username, display name, profile photo, bio, date of birth (used to display an age range), gender, and privacy settings.
Location information: Your current location, used to display the map and search for nearby restaurants (collected only if you have allowed location access in your device settings).
Posted and saved content: Post text, post photos, information about saved restaurants (notes, reference URLs, category tags), comments, likes, and follow relationships.
Reports and blocks: Reports of inappropriate posts or users, and information about users you have blocked.
Device information and logs: App operation logs and similar data used to investigate and resolve issues.
The App does not serve advertising or use third-party analytics tools for tracking, and does not obtain any information beyond the above from third parties.
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
To provide, maintain, and improve the App
For login authentication and identity verification
To show your current location on the map and to search for and display nearby restaurants
To provide communication features between users, such as posting, saving, commenting, liking, and following
To prevent unauthorized use and to respond to reports, blocks, and violations of the Terms of Service
To respond to inquiries
For purposes incidental to the above
The developer will not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:
Where required by law
Where the following external services are used to the extent necessary to provide the App:
Supabase, Inc. — used as the infrastructure for login authentication, the database, and storage of files such as images
Apple Inc. — used to provide Sign in with Apple (login authentication) and Apple Maps (map display and restaurant search)
Google LLC — used for login authentication with Google accounts
Please also review the respective privacy policies of these external services regarding their handling of personal information.
Content you post, your username and profile, and any saved restaurants, comments, likes, and follow relationships that you have set to public may be viewable by other users. The visibility of information you have set to private, or of an account whose visibility is set to "private," follows the settings within the App.
Information we collect is retained for as long as necessary to provide the App. You may delete your account at any time from "Profile Settings" > "Delete Account." Once your account is deleted, your data within the App — including posts, saved restaurants, and your profile — will be deleted and cannot be restored (except for information that must be retained under applicable law).
If a minor uses the App, please do so only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
We take reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, tampering, and leakage.
The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice in response to changes in laws and regulations or to the App's services. Any revised version takes effect once it is posted on this page.
