Registration: Each student involved in the honor band must first be nominated by their band director to participate. Nomination information coming soon. Homeschool students should contact pyoung6@samford.edu for separate registration process.
Registration Fee: Upon acceptance, all registrants will pay a non-refundable $80 deposit for the event.
Check-In Information: Check-in will run from 1:30-4:30pm on November 8th. Students should arrived at the Wright Center #7 on the map to get their name badge and other materials needed for the event. Audition times will be assigned during this check-in procedure. Please do not arrive before 1:30pm on Nov 8th, as the doors will remain locked until the event start time.
Woodwind & Brass Audition Requirements will include the Alabama Allstate materials posted here https://alaband.org/all-state-middle-school-audition-requirements/ -- At the audition, students will perform 1) Alabama Allstate Lyrical Exercise ONLY 2) Favorite 2 major scales (student's choice) 3) Sight reading

Student Drop Off Information: On Monday morning, all guests need to enter through the Main Gate entrance off Lakeshore Drive (#1 on campus map above) and exit through West Gate (#11 on campus map above). Drivers should use the “drop off zone” outside building #4 on the map, where students can exit their vehicles.
Building Information: Cassese Rehearsal Hall (Band Room) can be easily accessible from the courtyard #5 on campus map. This includes a handicap entrance and exit ramp. Wright Center Lobby and Stage, can be accessed via front entrance, #7 on campus map.
Parking Information: Parking on Samford’s campus is prohibited until after 5pm. For the evening concert on Nov. 9th, Parent’s may park anywhere near the Wright Center (labeled #7 on campus map) for the performance.
Dress: For the concert, students should wear their Honor Band T-Shirt which will be given to students during the day on Nov. 9th. The recommended dress for bottoms can include dress pants/slacks or long skirt, black socks or stockings, and black dress shoes, flats, or small heeled shoes.
