SameFrame respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the SameFrame Android application accesses, uses, stores and shares information.
SameFrame is designed to perform its main functions locally on your device.
Depending on the features you use, SameFrame may access and store:
Photos selected by you for SameFrame projects
Photos captured using your device camera
Project names and project information
Photo timeline information
Reminder settings
Videos created from your SameFrame timelines
SameFrame does not require you to create a user account.
SameFrame uses camera access when you choose to capture a new photo.
The app can display an existing project photo as a visual reference while you recreate the same framing.
When you select an existing image, SameFrame uses Android's system photo selection functionality to access the photo you choose.
Photos used by SameFrame are processed locally on your device for features such as:
Camera alignment
Photo comparison
Timeline playback
Video export
SameFrame does not upload your project photos to servers operated by the SameFrame developer.
SameFrame may request permission to send notifications.
Notifications are used for project reminders that you configure in the app.
Reminder schedules and project reminder settings are handled locally on your device.
SameFrame allows you to create videos from your photo timelines.
You may choose to share an exported video using Android's system sharing functionality.
SameFrame does not automatically send exported photos or videos to third parties.
When you intentionally choose another application or service from Android's sharing interface, the privacy practices of that application or service apply to information you choose to share.
SameFrame does not currently operate a backend service for storing user accounts, project information or project photos.
SameFrame does not sell personal information.
SameFrame does not use your project photos for advertising, profiling or marketing.
Project photos, project names and timeline information are not transmitted to servers operated by the SameFrame developer.
Your Android device, operating system or services configured on your device may provide their own backup, synchronization or sharing functionality. Those services are governed by their respective privacy policies and settings.
SameFrame project information and app-managed photos remain stored locally until they are deleted by you, deleted through SameFrame, or removed by the operating system.
SameFrame provides functionality for deleting individual recreated photos and complete projects.
SameFrame does not maintain user accounts or copies of your project photos on SameFrame-operated servers. Therefore, there is no separate SameFrame server account or cloud photo library that must be deleted.
Device backups may be subject to your Android or device backup settings.
Depending on your Android version and the features you use, SameFrame may request or use:
Camera access — to capture photos
Notification permission — to deliver project reminders
Android system photo picker access — to allow you to select an existing photo
Permissions are used only for the functionality for which they are requested.
You can manage application permissions through Android system settings.
SameFrame is designed to minimize transmission of personal data by performing its primary photo and project functions locally on your device.
Project information and app-managed photos are stored using storage available to the SameFrame application on your device.
SameFrame does not intentionally transmit project photos or project information to SameFrame-operated servers.
If you choose to share content with another application, the transfer occurs only following your action through Android's sharing functionality.
No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but SameFrame is designed to avoid unnecessary collection and transmission of user information.
The SameFrame website may use Google Analytics to understand basic website traffic and usage.
Google Analytics may process information about website visits, such as device, browser and usage information, according to Google's applicable privacy policies.
Analytics used on the SameFrame website is separate from the SameFrame Android application's project, photo and timeline data.
SameFrame does not use Google Analytics inside the Android application unless this Privacy Policy is updated to state otherwise.
SameFrame does not require users to create an account and does not knowingly collect or transmit children's personal information to SameFrame-operated servers.
Photos and project information used by the Android application are processed locally on the user's device, subject to the device's storage and backup settings.
Certain SameFrame features rely on functionality provided by the Android operating system, such as:
Camera functionality
Photo selection
Notifications
System sharing
When you choose to interact with another application or external service, that service may process information according to its own privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if SameFrame's features, data practices or legal requirements change.
Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
