Paintings done on site, in temperatures dipping to -26C at times.

About the artist

Samuel Chen (b.1987) is a painter from Singapore. His work touches on themes of history, liminality, memory, and the general human experience as seen through spaces, both man-made and natural. Studied 3 years in St Petersburg, in addition to holding a mostly useless diploma and degree in fine arts (NAFA,LASALLE). Constantly sketching, painting, and overthinking, he also devotes some time to teaching art.
