Library Rules

1.All students and staff are members of the library.

2.No one is allowed to enter the library without a library card.

3.Members should enter their details in the gate register before entering the library.

4.Keep your belongings inside the property counter.

5.Respect other members and the librarian's need for a quiet environment.

6.Only bring notebooks needed for study inside the library. Any other personal books may be brought inside only after receiving permission from the librarian.

7.Don't take any book or magazine out of the library without permission and registration.

8.Students can borrow only 1 book at a time for a period of 2 days. Staff members can borrow 3 books at a time for a period of 1 week.

9.Members are required to return the books before the due date. Otherwise a fine of Rs. 5 will be charged per day after the due date.

10. Renewal of books is allowed after the due date for 1 day. Members are required to bring both library card and books on the due date for renewal.

11. Writing, underlining and marking on library books, magazines and newspapers is strictly prohibited.

12. Reference books, multimedia and current periodical will not be issued to any members. These can be consulted only in the library.

13. In case of books being damaged or lost, the borrower will have to replace the exact copy of the books or pay the current price of the books.

14. The librarian may call for a book any time, even if the normal period of the loan has not been expired.

15. After reading make sure that books, newspapers and magazines are kept back in their respective places.

16. Before leaving, clean your space and rearrange the chair back in their respective places.

17. Refrain from eating, drinking, chatting, or smoking inside the library.
