Akron v Creighton

No. 3 Creighton took on No. 14 Akron at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh this afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bluejays bested the Zips, 77-60. Kalkbrenner led the Bluejays with 23 points. Alexander and Scheierman contributed to the win as well with 19 and 15 points respectively, Scheierman led the team with 13 rebounds. Creighton advances to the Round of 32 and will play the winner of No. 6 South Carolina and No. 11 Oregon on Saturday March 23rd.
