Greetings! I am currently a Lecturer at the University of Oklahoma in the Dodge Family College of Arts of Sciences Economics Department. I am originally from South Dakota where I completed my bachelor’s degree in economics and finance at Black Hills State University. After that, I moved to Washington State University where I completed my master’s degree in applied economics and my PhD in economics.
I am currently researching agricultural cartels, marketing orders and school breakfast, but I also have interests in agriculture and applied microeconomics. In addition, I have extensive teaching at WSU and OU for every grade level including both in-person and online classes. Whether it is research or teaching, my goal is always to help. As a researcher, I focus on topics that will help my local community, and as a professor, I focus on topics that my students can use in their future careers. I truly believe economics is a wonderful field, and my goal is to show how interesting and applicable it can be to everyone!
As of last semester, I became the Econ Club advisor for our department as well. Every week, we get together with economic students for game nights, guest speakers, alumni nights, panels, and so much more! Getting to interact with students outside of the classroom is one of my favorite things, and I cannot wait to see what else this group will do!
