I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2017, I graduated from Pine-Richland High School. During my time there, Choir was an essential part of my high school experience. I was heavily involved not only in my Pine-Richland community, but I was also a consistent participant of PMEA Choral festivals. In order to pursue my lifelong passion for performing arts education, I chose to attend Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. At BW, I majored in Music Education with a minor in Dance, and I graduated in May of 2021 with my Bachelor of Music Education.
For my semester long student teaching placement, I was placed at Medina High School in Ohio. My placement with the High School choral program included four classroom choirs: Concert Choir (auditioned mixed), Women's Chorus (auditioned treble voices), Women's Chorale (non-auditioned treble voices), and Men's Chorale (non-auditioned bass voices). Along with these classroom choirs, I also had the opportunity to teach an Understanding Music class focusing on an introduction to all things music, and an AP Music Theory course. Even more, Medina has a rich history of extracurricular ensembles, and I spent time working with ENCORE Entertainment Company (an auditioned show choir), Men's Chorus (an auditioned bass ensemble), and specialty acts chosen for Medina's Spring Concert.
During my student teaching experience, I was responsible for the complete planning and execution of lessons in all curricular areas. Most recently, I aided Medina High School in its 2021 Showtime show by rehearsing vocals, providing staging, and creating choreography.
