My portfolio is centered around a very common hurdle that ALL organizations experience, which can negatively impact the culture, performance, and retention of good employees.

Delivering Effective Apologies

You made a mistake! You lost your cool. Now what? You genuinely feel bad and want to make amends. Or, you apologized, but it seemed to make the situation worse. The problem with most apologies is that they only address two or three of the six components of an effective apology. And let's be honest, this scenario happens just as often at work as it does at home-- the difference is-- when you fail to address mistakes at work, the team's performance could take a hit, causing an undesirable domino effect.

Organized by ADDIE, you will find the various tasks I completed to take this course from an idea to the learner.

PHASE 1: ANALYSIS

Once assigned the project, I collected background information and facilitated a scoping meeting to prioritize projects and design a timeline for completion.

Sample Learner Persona

I designed a learner persona (or avatar) to keep my learners at the forefront of the design and development phase to ensure that the learning solution is relevant and effective in meeting the objectives.

**Note: It is a common practice to develop more than one learner persona to capture a complete picture of the training audience.

PHASE 2: DESIGN

Course Script

Using the course outline, I developed a SCRIPT to begin building the roadmap to the course as a way to determine just the right voice and story to engage my learners.

Next, I used the script to visually plan the FRAMEWORK, which outlines the learning solution's various elements (images, text, audio, interactions) to get feedback and obtain stakeholders' approval.

PHASE 3: DEVELOP

Live PowerPoint

PHASE 4: IMPLEMENT

Premiere Pro Instructional Video

Using Adobe Premier Pro, I CREATED and EDITED the on-demand instructional video for this learning solution. After, I uploaded it to YouTube to add CLOSED CAPTIONING.

Storyline 360 LMS Module

I built an interactive LMS-ready course using Articulate Storyline 360.

PHASE 5: EVALUATE

Course Survey
