Biography

Sam Roberts is an 18 year old musician, hailing from the vibrant musical city of Liverpool. His sound encompasses indie rock & pop influences to produce infectious guitar & drum driven, singalong tunes.

Recent performances, with his band, include headline and support dates at iconic Liverpool venues The Jacaranda, Zanzibar & The Cavern and he followed up 2023’s debut single ‘You Are The One’ in March 2024 with ‘National TV’.

Outside of writing & performing his own material, Sam has been involved in some exciting collaborative projects. He was a part of the Pagoda Arts collective, supported by Liverpool City & Arts Council, creating & performing themed music for cultural projects 'Imagine Bamboo' in 2023 and the city's 2024 Chinese Year of The Dragon festivities. In 2023, Sam wrote & performed original material as a member of project band 'Subv3rsion' on the Chavasse Park outdoor stage in Liverpool, as part of the city's hosting of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

Sam has had a passion for music since he was very young, starting guitar lessons at 8 years old and piano a few years later. In particular,  he loves the excitement of live performance and has taken inspiration from the various band and artist gigs he has been to over the years, incorporating elements into his own energetic stage performance.

Sam started to write his own material in 2021 and performing locally in 2022 at open mic nights and solo gig nights - "it's a real buzz to be performing  original songs to an audience and getting a positive reaction, to have something I have written connect, have meaning, or create a feeling for someone in the audience".
