About Us

Our Story

Salt & Light Music School was born from a God-given passion for music and a heart for teaching. In 2021, founder Yuber Monsalve and his wife, Nelly, brought their shared passions together to create a music school with a purpose beyond simply teaching music.

Yuber has been teaching private music lessons since 2014 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production from Oral Roberts University. Nelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education, also from Oral Roberts University. Together, they share a passion for helping students discover, develop, and confidently use the gifts God has placed within them.

At Salt & Light Music School, we believe we are called to develop worshippers, not just musicians. Our desire is to equip the next generation with musical excellence while cultivating hearts that love God and are ready to use their talents for His glory.

We’re not just teaching students how to play music. We’re helping them discover how their gifts can become an expression of worship.
