This Privacy Policy applies to the Salino app, also known in Hebrew as "חסרלי" (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), for mobile devices that was created by Liron Shiryon (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a free, ad-supported service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
Account information: Name, email address
Household information: Household name, membership role, invite codes
Shopping data: Items added to shared lists, including item name, quantity, category, notes, and who added or purchased each item
Activity logs: Records of actions within a household (e.g., items added, purchased, or removed), including the display name of the member who performed the action
This information is retained by the Service Provider and used as described in this privacy policy.
Voice Input
The Application offers an optional voice input feature that uses your device's microphone to convert speech to text for adding shopping items. When you tap the microphone icon, audio is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition service (typically Google Speech Recognition on Android, or Apple Speech Recognition on iOS). Audio data may be sent to Google's or Apple's servers for processing and is subject to their respective privacy policies. The Application does not store, record, or transmit your audio data independently. The microphone is only activated when you explicitly tap the microphone button.
Advertising
The Application displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect and use the following information:
Device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA)
Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
IP address
Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
On iOS, the Application will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing your device's advertising identifier. You may opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
The Application does not use interstitial ads, rewarded ads, or any other ad format besides banner ads.
Household Sharing
The Application allows users to create and join shared households via invite codes. Within a household, the following information is visible to all members:
Display names of household members
Shopping items and who added or purchased them
Activity history within the household
Email addresses are not shared with other household members.
Authentication and Email Verification
The Application supports sign-in via Google, Apple (iOS only), and email/password. For email/password registration, a verification email is sent to confirm your email address before granting full access to the Application. Password reset emails are also available. These emails are sent by Firebase Authentication and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Apple Sign-In (iOS only)
Expo Updates (for over-the-air app updates)
Data Storage
Your data is stored in the following locations:
Cloud (Firebase Firestore): User profiles, household information, shopping lists, activity logs, and recurring items are stored securely on Google Cloud servers.
Local device storage: A cached copy of your data is stored on your device for offline access and faster loading. This data is cleared when you sign out.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information processed and maintained. Data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Authentication credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
Data Retention and Deletion
The Service Provider will retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data by contacting the Service Provider at the email address provided below. Upon account deletion, your user profile, household memberships, and associated data will be permanently removed.
Children's Privacy
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted from servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
