The Salem Big Band is a community-based jazz band of 17 performers that has been performing since 1989. Our mission is to offer dedicated musicians in the Salem area an opportunity to perform and foster jazz music education through public performances, concerts and workshops. Included in its membership are SKSD and SFSD music teachers. Some of our members are current college students or recent graduates.
