I am (Mr.) Saleh Shahriar. I was awarded a PhD degree in Economics from the Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University, Shaanxi, Yangling, China, in June 2019. I was a recipient of the prestigious "Chinese Government Scholarship" to carry out my doctoral research during the period, 2015–2019. I presented my research papers in several international conferences and served as a reviewer for a number of academic journals. I am the author of a book entitled, Understanding China’s Belt & Road Initiative: The Institutional Economics Approach (2019).

My papers were published in several internationally reputed academic journals ; such as, the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade; Territory, Politics, Governance; International Journal of Emerging Markets; Journal of Borderlands Studies; Review of Innovation and Competitiveness: A Journal of Economic and Social Research; Asian Journal of Political Science; South Asia Research; Journal of Human Trafficking; Asia Pacific Business Review; Journal of China & International Relations, Strategic Analysis; Social Science Journal; Journal of Social Studies, and Intellectual Discourse. I have contributed a couple of chapters to edited books and encyclopedia.
