"I feel deeply grateful to have received my primary education at a tree school and to later have the opportunity to teach at FATA University in Pakistan during its formative years. Due to limited classroom space, some classes were held under a tree, which provided both space and shade for teaching during the summer months. In the photograph on the right, I am interacting with students at the same school in the Bajaur tribal district of Pakistan where I studied as a child. Seated nearby is my former teacher, who witnessed my educational journey from a first-generation student in a remote area to a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship. In the photograph on the left, I am teaching Principles of Economics to undergraduate students at FATA University, located in the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. "
